Hi, I'm Cassie! I am a freelancer from the Midwest who worked to save up and travel around the world. In January of 2023, I started doing Workaways in South America while backpacking there for 6 months. I feel my best and most inspired when I am creating, whether that be painting, taking photos, sewing, cooking, backing, or writing. I love hiking, exploring, and traveling. In university, I studied Marketing, Spanish, and French, and I hope to improve my language skills while meeting people of different cultures and giving back to those communities in any way that I can. I hope I can share my perspectives and experiences in life with those I meet, as learn as much as possible in return.

I have owned my own cake and cookie decorating business for over a decade and have experience taking photos, videos, and communicating with clients to deliver a product they will love. I bought myself camera gear a year ago, and since then have been practicing landscape and portrait photography. I would love to be able to work with hosts and give them great images of their businesses, etc. I have most recently worked as a mortgage loan originator at Axia Home Loans and learned about client management and financials. I was a nanny for over 3 years and have lots of experience working with kids in both small and large groups. During college I worked in the university Career Center and did undergraduate research as a research assistant. In college I also worked at a golf course and lodge, helping with guest check in, purchases, and providing food and beverage.

I love different card games and always carry a deck of cards with me. I also love to play board games like Ticket to Ride or Monopoly. I love to cook with friends, host parties, decorate, and tell stories. I also love to play tennis and volleyball, I even used to coach tennis lessons.
