Hi! I'm Callie and I've been working at a vegan farm animal sanctuary for the past year in New Zealand. My best friend, Jessie, and I are traveling through Europe from June onwards and are looking for vegan and LGBT-friendly workaways. We both have a lot skills to offer including animal care, building skills, composting & composting toilets, permaculture gardening, vegan cooking & baking, social media marketing, etc. Jessie is a certified yoga teacher and ran two vegan food trucks. She also has experience training both dogs and horses. I have experience in childcare, cleaning and teaching English. We met at the sanctuary where we were both animal caretakers. We looked after and medicated injured & sick farm animals. Jessie knows how to trim goat/sheep hooves and we both know how to vaccinate animals.

When I'm not working, I love being in nature, reading, crafting, fashion, the beach, etc. I was a ballerina for 12 years before quitting due to health reasons but have recently started taking dance classes again. I love learning about different cultures & listening to people's perspectives on life. I'm from the U.S. but don't feel at home there and have been enjoying traveling/seeing the world. I really value slow living and want to lead a peaceful, sustainable life connected to nature and animals. I'm a pretty quiet, independent person and like to have some alone time but I also love late night chats.

Jessie Is from the Netherlands & is a very positive and energetic person who is also independent and likes some alone time. She loves hiking, nature, mountains, reading, living a yogic life, learning (e.g. culture, languages, sustainability, self sufficiency), making music, dancing, cycling, and so much more! She would love to live a (mostly) self sufficient life with animals, in the mountains, running a small & cozy vegan restaurant and teaching yoga classes.

We're both fast learners and would love to develop our skills/learn more!

- Cleaning: Totally willing to clean amenities, toilets, bathrooms, kitchen, cars, animal spaces, etc.

- Animal care: We were both Animal Caretakers at a farm animal sanctuary. We dealt with goats, sheep, a horse, 3 ponies, 4 cows, roosters, ducks, pukekos, etc. Experience medicating, vaccinating, trimming goat/sheep hooves, etc.

- Outdoor tasks: Permaculture gardening, building skills, fence repair, composting, etc.

- Cooking and baking: Jessie ran 2 vegan food trucks and we both have a lot of experience cooking vegan meals for large groups. We also love cooking and baking together.

- Childcare: I have experience babysitting as well as teaching English to children

-Other: Jessie is a certified yoga teacher and more than happy to teach
