  • Description

Hey there! I'm an artist-in-training who loves to explore new places. I draw a lot of inspiration from the world around me to create fantasy worlds with my art, as I believe that narrative is a powerful tool to encourage empathy and open-mindedness in a world where facts seem to hold less and less power. My favorite media are acrylic paints and woodcut printing, but I also have experience in everything from clay to 3D digital sculpting.

I first went traveling when I was 18, for a year-long solo trip to NZ via Indonesia which changed the way I could see myself living in the future. I'd planned to escape the UK again, booking a one-way trip to South America in 2020 to see where life took me... but then 2020 happened. Since I was stuck at home, I decided I might as well make the most of my time and commit to becoming a better artist, so signed up for university to study Illustration in Bristol.

Now the world is open again I'm excited to get out there and experience more of it! It'd be great to meet and get to know people living alternative lifestyles with a focus on connecting with nature and sustainability. I don't have the most experience in construction/gardening but am keen to learn, work hard, and don't mind getting my hands dirty to help out. When I finish my degree, I want to live nomadically, working as a freelance artist specializing in comics, paintings, and tattoos.

I also like to hike and do any sports/activities involving water. Spending time in nature is something I do to calm myself and feel more at ease with the world around me.

Currently, I'm trying to learn more Spanish! I know some Japanese and French, and even less Turkish and Bahasa(Indonesian). Unfortunately, growing up in the UK has meant that I've been mostly exposed to people who only speak English, so haven't had much chance to practice other languages with fluent speakers. I believe that when you go to another country you should make an effort to learn as much of the language as you can, so would love to learn more.

Not sure how to end this, feel like I may have rambled on a bit.... Anyway, thanks for reading to the end!
