I am currently on a gap year before I begin college in the United States, but i'm from Madrid Spain. I've always loved the countryside, I love nature and exploring it with others. I'm motivated by my love for animals. I have volunteered in two animal shelters in Spain and I have a dog who is my world, but will be staying with my family in Madrid.i''ve also been volunteering at the red cross with kids for over two years. I've always been a great student, a fast learner. But i feel a need to switch things up, and start discovering new parts of myself. That is the reason I'm signing up, I have 8 months of free time and I'd love to spend them traveling, taking care of animals in farms and working with my hands on the land. I'm very outgoing, open to plans and I consider myself to be a "yes" person. I speak fluent english and spanish and I cannot be more excited for this period of my life.

I've been a volunteer at the Red Cross for almost 3 years now. So i have a lot of experience with children and with helping out in any way I can. I've also been a volunteer at a dog rescuing shelter, so I have a hand with animals. Plus, they are my passion.
I want to learn about farming the land, I have a small garden in my backyard but I'd love to work more on those skills.

I've studied the international baccalaurete with a 41/45 (IB) points, and I have taken college courses in business administration and psychology. I've always been a good student, I'm responsible and learn quickly.
I've also lived independantly in Arizona for a year so I'm good at living without my family and I love exploring new places.
As for other skills, I'm a great baker and cook. I've always cooked for my family and I enjoy eating and learning about cuisine. So I am totally up for sharing food and cooking for the people I'm with.

Laslty, career-wise I've done an internship at a Law Firm where I helped with social media and client needs so I'm good with people and I've done a couple other internships in a publisher.
Lastly, while this isn't a skill, I'm a passionate person. I give my everything and I live experiences to the full, and thats gotta count for something ;)

What else ...

I adore reading, and I want to use this year to read a lot in my free time as well. I'd love to exchange books and talk about them. I also really love vintage shops, thrifting clothes and other wholesome plans. As for hobbies, I've played basketball and volleyball, and I've been in a cinema club. I also love debating and conversations. I attended Model UN a couple years a go and won an award!! I'm pretty good with kids since I work with them a lot at Red Cross.

And to finish off, a couple fun facts about me are that if I could have any animal in the world as a pet I'd chose a monkey and my favourite movie in the world is About Time.
