  • Description

We're an adventure-loving married couple from Latvia who love to explore new places and spend our free time outdoors.
In the 10 years that we've been together we've managed to finish our studies (Alise as a medical doctor, Valters - wood engineer), spend a year in New Zealand on a Working Holiday visa where we also first found out about possibilities like workaway and wwoofing, and for the last 2,5 years we've lived out our dream in the heart of the Alps in Innsbruck, Austria.
But now we're so excited to start a new adventure in Canada! It has always been Valters' dream to visit Canada, and we're both thrilled to get to meet new people, make genuine connections and long-lasting memories & explore more of our beautiful planet!

  • What else ...

We're passionate about nature and the environment and are on a journey to learn more about different sustainable practices, off-grid living, permaculture, regenerative farming, nature conservation etc. that we could implement in our future lives.

We believe that the best way to learn about a country you're visiting is through getting to know locals who live here, which is why love the idea of participating in workaway. We love to connect to new people, whether it's through working on some project, going on a hike, or having a dinner/game night together, but we're also always trying to be mindful and respectful of other's time and energy as we know that however fun hosting people at your home is, it's completely normal to need some time for yourselves.

To sum up, we're all about simplicity, not complicating things and enjoying each experience life brings us.
