Description
Kia ora! I have recently completed my postgraduate studies in Film and Media Studies and am excited to live abroad over the next few years - to push myself out of my comfort zone, experience new ways of living, and to meet new people. Both my mother and father immigrated to New Zealand from Japan before I was born, and I grew up in the rural farmlands surrounded by sheep and mountains. My interests include photography and videography, outdoor running, cooking for friends, and winding down with a good TV show. I am kind, honest and creative; I am happiest when interacting with people from all walks of life. Through Workaway, I hope to find a community and to expand my world!

- Effective interpersonal skills - I have years of experience working in the hospitality industry as a waitress and bartender, and enjoy chatting with all sorts of people with a smile on my face.

- Time management and organisation - Juggling multiple jobs and gigs during my studies has made me a proactive and organised person. I keep on top of my tasks and complete projects to deadlines.

- Creativity - Thinking outside the box. I have a First Class Honours degree in Media Studies and an undergraduate in Film. I am comfortable navigating online platforms and love to express my creativity in multimedia, including social media.

- Teaching skills - I was employed at the University as a Teaching Assistant and have experience tutoring and mentoring. I enjoy helping others understand complex ideas and nurturing new ones.
