My next destination:
Guatemala - from Jan 2024 until Aug 2024 View allDescription
Hola!
This is Alejandro, I am an international research student born in Guatemala and currently living in Japan. Throughout my life, I have lived in many countries, from Guatemala to India, to Ireland and now Japan. I am looking forward to experience and learn more about the world and the people living in it.
Also, I have just graduated from a Japanese University (after 4 enriching years) and I will be starting my master's degree in Tokyo on September 2024. Because of this, I am taking a year to slow down and think about other aspects of my life (hobbies, family, relationships with others and with myself, and my personal believes). So, one could say I am quite focused on my career goals while also taking care about what is beyond that (life as a whole).
In summary, if you are willing to tell me how to do something, I will do my best to do it well, as I will be always open to learn something new.Interests

I am still working on my Japanese right now, as I aim to reach fluency in the next year. Besides, I learnt French when I was younger, and I would be glad to speak French whenver possible (although I have forgotten most of it by now). Otherwise, I am more than happy to practice any of the languages I know with you.Skills and knowledge I'd like to share or learn

As I have lived in many countries I think my best skill is my willingness and ability to work hard and adapt. Even if I do not know how to do something, I never hesitate to listen and learn. Besides, I am not scared of doing heavy or dirty work, whether it is cleaning, moving things around, or chopping wood, I will do my best if you give me a chance (and maybe some basic instructions).
Of course, as a researcher myself, I am well acquainted with language learning, literature, not-so-high-level sciences, economics, politics, philosophy, business, arts, and enviromental sciences. So, if you are interested in any of this subjects, or they are of some use for you, I am happy to collaborate (and learn of course)! So, let's talk!
Finally, I would like to add, that you can count on me as a very responsible and reliable person. Whilst the Latin-american part of me provided me with a natural care and sympathy for people (let it be elderly, children, or adults), I like to believe that my time abroad, especially in Japan, has made me respectful of other peoples cultures and values. So, you can count on me being respectul and mindful of the things you care about.
I truly hope we can help each other!Age
