Kia ora !
We are Melaine (23) and Victoire (23) a couple together for 4 years. We’ve both finished our studies recently and are seeking some new adventure abroad! Hence we are traveling to New Zealand from France in January and would love to spend time with true kiwis!

I’ve already had some familiarity with Workaway as I went by hitchhiking to Italie in 2021 and spent some time with farmers in Sicily! It has been such a great experience for me, we’ve decided to try it again, together and a bit further away this time.
My parents were and still are big travelers! As a matter of fact I’m born in Mexico during the time they lived there. Thanks to this I grew up with a lot of interest in the world around me.
I learned to respect everyone and try to view things from all perspectives. This natural curiosity factored a lot when choosing my college course and ended up with me going to an engineering school.
I have no issue working on any task given to me with just a simple explanation. I’ve done with no difficulty some harvesting, gardening and planting of different crops in my previous Workaways. Helping with chores is also very important to me, as I love to cook and think that conviviality is greatly expressed through a good meal.
In my college years I’ve also had the opportunity to do a lot of different things. From helping kids with their homework with day to day tutoring, to organizing events for hundreds of students, I’m really comfortable with any kind of projects.
Socially speaking, I like to talk with everyone about anything and love to share experiences and anecdotes. And finally I’m a huge board games and tabletop roleplaying game fan and would love to share this passion with others.

I’ve recently finished my studies. I've always wanted to travel once I got my diploma so here we are! I’m looking forward to taking time for myself, meeting new people, discovering a new country and enjoying nature and outdoor activities.
The last few months I was working in a university. I was receiving students that needed help either because they had a disability or because they wanted to start a project to improve student’s lives. I loved working towards helping students and having conversations with different people everyday.
I'm really curious and open to mastering new skills about anything. I’ve practiced all kinds of sports, arts and activities. I'm not an expert in anything but I know a little bit of everything, and most importantly I learn quickly.
I've always lived with roommates so I like to hang out and share good moments, but also understand the importance of boundaries. I consider my friends family but I sometimes like to be by myself just to recharge batteries!
I'm really calm most of the time. I like taking care of my home and I sometimes cook. On the other hand, I don’t like to stay at home too often and I really love to go outside, whether it’s to play sports, go for a walk in nature or go for a walk in the city.Interests

Having worked in farms during other Workaways, I have no issue with the workload needed in a farm-like exploitation. I’ve also made some simple woodwork with my hosts.
I’m overall good with manual labor. I like to seek the easiest, yet most efficient, solution to a difficult problem and discuss it with my hosts to see how they think of it.
Tutoring and helping teenagers or youngsters is clearly within my skill set as I like to come up with different ways to teach, and learn by their responses to it.
Finally, my entourage says that I’m a good cook, so I hope to make our hosts discover new tastes and maybe bring back some new local recipes home!

I majored in communication and territorial development. It means I usually put forward my skills in project management, writing, content creation, communications strategy and public administration.
Because of my last experience, I'm also at ease with people and can easily talk to them, help them or direct them according to their needs.
As I've done administrative work, I’m comfortable with accounting, office automation softwares, filing… Above all, I'm a very organized person.
I also have cleaning and cooking skills, based on my personal experience.
Finally, I've had the opportunity to do some renovation work around my house. Furthermore, I'm interested in anything that has to do with building work. This means I've got a few skills, but above all a lot of knowledge when it comes to renovation.
I never really done gardening or farming tasks, but I’m eager to learn!Age
