  • Description

    Pauline:

    What makes me happy:
I enjoy spending time in nature and I like quiet relaxed environments. I love animals (especially dogs), which is why I eat a vegetarian diet (vegan if possible). I like to cook together with other people and enjoy good conversation. A family atmosphere is a good basis for me to feel comfortable. I enjoy being outdoors and practicing activities such as walking on the beach, hiking, diving, surfing and horseback riding. I like practical work with my hands.

    My motivation:
I try to live sustainably as I want to protect the environment. I want to educate myself in this field and learn things that might help me to start a sustainable project myself in the future.

After a long trip through South America, I would like to stay longer in one place and make closer contact with the locals, learn more about the culture and improve my language skills.

    Fabian:

    What makes me happy:
I feel most comfortable in the fresh air. I like an active lifestyle that combines sport (skating, hiking, surfing) and traveling whenever possible. When traveling, making new friends is just as important to me as immersing myself in foreign countries and cultures. Since I have been traveling a lot in the last few years, contact with friends and family has become an increasingly important part of my life.

    My motivation:
As a young boy, I spent days in the forest and loved the peace and serenity that nature evoked in me. This connection hasn't changed since then, which is why I want to start working in the field of nature conservation after completing my environmental engineering degree. However, since I lack the practical ideas on how to put this into practice after my studies, I would like to work on various projects and see how a healthy relationship between people and nature can develop.

    Pauline:

After school, I completed a bachelor's degree in health sciences. As part of this degree, I did a four-month internship in the quality and risk management department of a hospital. This taught me how to work both alone and as part of a team. I was able to further develop my organizational and planning skills in this context. I also learned how to carry out my own projects.

I did various part-time jobs alongside my studies. Among other things, I took on various tasks for a start-up in the areas of content creation/management, sales management and marketing. I also worked as a waitress in the catering industry and at events.
I learned a lot of new things in these different jobs, which I enjoyed.

    Fabian:

During my studies, I gained a deep insight into the engineering side of sustainable energy. My basic studies also included an understanding of mechanical and electrical processes. I have already been able to apply this knowledge by working at a mechatronics store and on a track maintenance machine. I worked in both professions for six months each. Another part of my studies was the analytical evaluation of environmental parameters. One focus was, for example, analyzing the pollution of soil or water. In addition to my professional experience, I have been reading up on the subject of nature conservation for many years. My hobbies include gardening and photography, both of which will hopefully improve over the years :).
