Description
Hi, we are an Italian/British couple based in London who are looking to travel, meet new people, explore new places and gain new experiences. This is our first time trying workaway and we can't wait to try it out!

We are a warm and friendly couple who want to experience what living like the locals is like but at the same time, have the privilege to explore like a visitor.

We love discovering new cultures, trying new foods, exploring the natural surroundings, learning about the history of a place, trying experiences that we've never tried before and of course travelling the world.

The reason we want to travel is so that we can be connected with different people and places and make beautiful memories.

Stefano is Italian and has a background in photography, hospitality and tourism.
Tash is British and has a background in science with two degrees in biochemistry and neuroscience. We are both happy to teach in our respected languages and areas of knowledge. At the same time, we are both very open to learning new things ourselves.
We love animals, especially cats. We are a very reliable, clean and trustworthy couple with a keen eye for detail.

In our spare time, we would love to explore the nearby areas and work on our own photography/videography projects. Therefore, internet access will be required.

We would love to hear from hosts who can offer a place to stay as we travel. If you need help with gardening, animal care, child care, house keeping, photography, video making, drone footage and learning English/Italian, we could be there.

Additional note:

Even though it's a given, we feel like we should still highlight this as we have fallen victim to this in the past.

The bare minimum we ask for in exchange is a clean space for us to sleep in, i.e. no mould/damp or any sort of infestation whether that's mice or bed bugs, and of course access to a clean functioning toilet/shower.

Where do we begin?! We were so lucky to spend 2 months with Jemima, James and the best cat + dogs in the beautiful Dorset countryside. We were welcomed into their home as if we were part of their family. They were incredibly warm and inviting.

Where do we begin?! This was our first workaway experience and we were so lucky to have been welcomed by Catrina, Gordon, Chiara and the doggies into their home (which is the coolest house you'll ever step in).
They are such a kind and warm family who made us feel at home from the beginning.

Catrina and Gordon are full of wonderful stories,… read more ideas and knowledge. They know something about pretty much everything. They shared their love for music, food, travelling, Italy, their love for learning about cultures, traditions and ancestry. We learnt so much in just a few weeks.

Catrina is the most creative cook who can invent a feast out of thin air. We watched her master the recipe for the best homemade sourdough bread! She also taught us how to do changeovers, use a professional iron, and clean guesthouses - skills that we will carry around with us forever now.
Gordon is just hilarious and who never runs out of jokes. He can teach you about cars, electricals, wiring and lighting of course, amongst many others.

Our duties were not difficult, they consisted of helping out in the guesthouses, laundry, ironing, general house cleaning, taking the dogs out for a walk and anything else they needed help with. The hours were flexible as some days there was less to do than others.
The accomodation included a really lovely room in their house which was clean and warm.

Walking with their 3 lovely dogs was pure joy. If you're not a dog person, you will become one by the end of your time with them. They are the most lovable, friendly, funny and cutest dogs ever! We miss Choccy, Jakey and Leo so much!

We will cherish the wonderful memories we made whether that was from the movie nights, the conversations, cuddling up with the doggies, pizza making night, games with the family, trying foods from all sorts of cuisines, sharing photos, helping out with Christmas and New Year's food prep, taking the Christmas tree down, New Year's Eve on the most magical snowy night in Comrie, watching the incredible flambeaux procession, meeting some of their wonderful friends and learning how to make Gordon's famous scrambled eggs 😂.

Thank you so much, Catrina and Gordon, for making our first workaway experience hard to beat! We had the most incredible time and feel so grateful to have experienced a Scottish Christmas and New Year with you.

Sometimes the people are worth more than the place you visit and that was the case for us.

We hope to see you and doggies soon!
