Hi there!

I'm Romane, a 20-year-old French student who has a passion in planes and dreams of working in aviation. I'm taking a gap year to explore different cultures after finishing two years of Math prep school.

I'm not sure where life will take me, but I'm excited to try new experiences, even if they're outside my comfort zone. I hope these adventures will help me figure out my future.

I manage in English and know a bit about different subjects. I'm an avid reader committed to continuous learning. I also enjoy staying active through various physical activities.

This is my first time trying out Workaway, and I'm super excited about the chance to learn and contribute while having meaningful experiences abroad! :)

While not a professional in any specific field, my diverse experiences speak to my adaptability and strong work ethic. I've done all sorts of jobs, from waiting tables to working in a factory and cleaning hotels during the summers.

Eager to make a positive impact in my community, I’ve also volunteered at La Croix Rouge for social actions and first aid, and at an animal shelter. Growing up with dogs, cats, and even chickens, animals are an integral part of my life.

Back in high school, I started an art club, unfortunately cut short by Covid.

Interested in the ever-evolving tech world, I also enjoy messing around with computers and coding for fun and school projects.

I'm used to take care of my little cousins and led a group of kids in Capoeira – it's fascinating to see how excited they get about life.

In addition to my academic pursuits, I'm into capoeira, taekwondo, and outdoor activities like swimming, biking, and hiking. I'm currently learning to fly microlights, blending my love for aviation with hands-on experience.

I've been to Cambridge, Italy, Turkey, Tunis, and Sri Lanka. Travelling has taught me a lot about different cultures.

To sum it up, I'm an adventurous person always looking for new experiences. Can't wait to connect with hosts, share stories, and make some unforgettable memories together ! :)
