Hi everyone, cool that you are checking out my profile :)

I hate self descriptions but I´ll try my best!
I´m René. Turned 30 a few weeks ago.. so I´m officially old now!
Nah, just kidding ;-)

On the one hand i´m a relaxed person who loves good music, food and drinks. Who enjoys evenings at a campfire with a guitar and deep talks. Who also loves photography and scouting. I´m a scout since 20 years. If you are a scout by yourself or know some scouts in your area I´d love to meet you/them.

One the other hand I´m a really curious person who's motto is "The only thing I can't is the one I haven't tried yet!"
Whether it is canyoning, climbing, cooking course, rafting, or a really good party, I wouldn't say no.

Before 3-4 years ago there popped up an idea in my mind to travel Europe with an oldtimer motorcycle. So I bought a really old one and restored it completely by myself!
Took a few years but I finished it as well as I finished my engineering studies :-D
Due to some german bureaucratic madness I have a delay of two months and now I try to escape this winter weather and get into some warmer climate zone!

South Italy and Greece I´m coming! :-)


So why am I at workaday?

To learn a lot about other cultures, their cuisines, and connect with scouts and people all over Europe :)
Also I try to learn the language of the country I´m in. Even it's just a bit. I try to!

Well, I can do quite a lot.
I often used to work as a gardener or landscaper during my vacations.
4 years experience in catering and 9 years working in a bar as a waiter/bartender.
I'm pretty handy with my hands. From laying tiles to demolition work, putting up fences and wallpapering, I've done all sorts of things in my private life.
As I am an engineer, I also try to repair all kinds of equipment, as we live in a society that is far too disposable.
I also love animals. I grew up with dogs.
One of my favorite skills is cooking. I love good food and cooking.
Also I have driving license since 13 years and had no accident! Wasn't even stopped one time by the police :D
