Hello! I'm Owen :) I'm an environmental anthropologist by trade - well, I will soon find out if I've got my funding for my PhD, so that is slightly up in the air right now, so perhaps 'by passion' is more appropriate! I have been living in London the last 6 or so years, with regular stints away to various parts of the world, for volunteering or travel.

Some things I love: Pedro Almodóvar films, cooking (everything), savoury umami food, making vegetables sing, meat stocks, cycling, music (nearly everything, but in particular folk, flamenco, psychedelic rock, all kinds of dance/electronic music, flamenco, bolero, etc. etc.), human beings, nonhuman beings, laughter, love!

I'm generally a smiley, happy-go-lucky and loving human that gets on well with everyone and is fascinated by the world. I have a very cheeky sense of humour and spend a lot of my time laughing! I have travelled on and off since I was 17, so have a fair amount of experience meeting and living alongside lots of lovely humans

I love to cook and garden, and I'm fit and healthy so am fine with doing manual work. I've also done a little bit of woodwork, mainly making bird boxes (haha). Beyond this broad skillset I am a fast and eager learner!
