Description

Hello! We're Nic and Anna; an adventurous couple from Cape Town, South Africa. Nic is an app developer for a telemedical company, that provides affordable healthcare for people in Africa. Anna is an art director for an advertising agency striving to make an impact through human insights. We both work online. When we are not working you will find us in the mountains or by the sea exploring, always with our two border collies by our side! Alternatively, you might catch Nic gardening, or engrossed in one of his DIY home projects, whilst Anna indulges her my passion for painting and art. We like to keep ourselves very very busy!

Our adventurous spirits keep us on the move, often volunteering through Workaway as we enjoy getting involved in the culture of a place. With Nic's French heritage, we frequently find ourselves drawn back to Europe to improve our French speaking skills and experience all the wonderful cultures the continent has to offer.

We're both sociable and thrive on meeting new people and experiencing new places. This year, we're planning on spending 3 months travelling around Europe, eager to discover hidden gems that we would never know existed.

We are open to whatever opportunities come our way; from house/pet sitting, to au-pairing, to gardening and DIY. Our interests and skills are as diverse as it is extensive. There's no challenge too great for us!

Nic:
I have a range of skills. I have studied computer science so am very capable with computers. I am very hands-on and like working outside and fixing/building (Although I have a lot to learn). I am also artistic and have a background with art mainly drawing. I have a strong background in graphic design as well. I am very passionate about teaching. I tutored at a primary school for 3 years while studying so I will be comfortable in a tutoring/teaching environment. I also enjoy gardening and we would jump at any opportunity to be part of gardening or eco-projects. Otherwise, I have some skills in rope work and outdoor guiding.

Anna:
I also have a wide range of skills and hobbies; from painting to photography, gardening, and DIY crafts. I have experience working in a junior school as a swimming coach and art teacher and am very comfortable around children. I also tutored throughout my studies so am comfortable with teaching. Nic has been teaching me a lot about carpentry and welding. I am eager to learn new skills and am a quick and enthusiastic learner.
