Description

I have volunteered and hosted. I had a beautiful young art student stay with me in my home in Dublin and help me tearing off wallpaper and painting. I had a lovely experience in the Tourmakedy farm where in the morning I tended to the salad and fruit trees and in the afternoons did various jobs like dead-heading roses, freezing fruit. I was a great stay. I volunteered a little on an organic farm that was in the process of converting to permaculture. That was quite a few years ago now but I enjoyed he experience and I want to find out more about living more harmoniously with our environment.
I am interested in learning more about growing food, I have started a small vegtable and fruit garden at my pIace. I love to spend time outdoors walking, hiking , horse riding or swimming in the freezing Irish sea! I am interested in literature, music, dance and trying to make a more beautiful world.
I am a primary school teacher, I have 15 years of experience 8 of them in Egypt in the cities of Cairo and Alexandria. I spent one summer teaching English camps in Italy. I like to engage pupils through enquiry, drama and song.
I also enjoy listening to and learning new languages, I have a decent level of Egyptian dialect Arabic and I am keen to learn more!

I am a teacher by profession, I have plenty of experience with children, organising, thinking on my feet, creating arts and crafts projects and educating through drama. I am a decent cook. I have experimented a little with growing plants and I would like to learn more. I love to ride horses and would be more that happy to help caring for animals.
