I'm looking for fun and peaceful experiences! I don't really like crowds, so I stay away from them. I don't mind cities though, they give some autonomy :D

Description

Meeting new people brings me joy. Everyone has different interests, different outlooks in life. When they talk about themselves, I find the most joy as I find out more about the people I meet and the lives they have led, and pick upon the life advices they most often provide or leave behind.

I view life as a constant process of learning. Every skill should be learned, even if it didn't naturally come my way. I want to learn everything as long as there are people willing to impart the knowledge whether by practical teaching or theoretical.

I love languages and their nuances. I like to learn from the bottom up, such as memorising the alphabet and pronunciation before moving on to grammar and sentence structure. I find the differences in speaking a learnt language and speaking in a fluent/mother tongue amusing and I only find satisfaction in learning a language if I can speak it in the same accent as a local.

I have a few hobbies:
- I love to design, I painted a geometric mountain mural on my wall, I design tattoos and Henna as a means of calming activities, I like to sketch.
- Reading, I like to read all sorts of genres, all sorts of journal articles about agriculture, governance and politics, generally anything that does not heavily include math.
- I used to write short stories.

I have done plenty of social work in my time:
- Interacting with the elderly at eldercare centres, telling and listening to stories, engaging them in conversations
- Building a basic incinerator for an orphanage school in Cambodia (DIY, paving and brickwork)
- Built a toilet in Bintan for a school
- Social Exchanges in Kuala Lumpur and Sarawak to experience their culture
- Organising community events for festivals and celebrations to bring together a community (Religious celebrations like Deepavali, Lunar New Year, Networking events)
So overtly, I like to engage and converse with people. I can do DIY without blueprints, I don't mind getting my hands dirty doing laborious work, honestly. I know how to organise events from managing manpower, catering, facilitating activities, deciding on activities, organising logistics and negotiating resources.

I have an education in Biomedical Engineering. This entails:
- Electrical Engineering (Wiring, circuits, electronics, soldering)
- Mechanical Engineering (The way things move, DIY and 3d modelling)
- General technical know-how (Designing websites, design theory, creative designing, email and networking)

Part-time work:
- I've worked in retail, at a seasonal travel store called Winter Time which specialises in winter materials.
- I've mostly done Food Service, where I got into the nuances of how ice cream is produced and described descriptive tasting notes when I worked with an ice cream bar that specialised in alcoholic ice cream; I've also worked in a fine-dining restaurant where the menu is far more intensive and requires more specific explanations regarding the dishes itself. Both of these experiences are working in a fast-paced environment.

What else ...

I love playing and coming up with new card games. There are many games to play with poker cards, not just poker. I like to modify rules to games like Old Maid, Go Fish, Big Two, as it keeps everyone on their toes and introduces them to the possibilities of card games.

I like to hike and explore spaces, I love learning new skills and being taught, especially languages in a foreign country. I like to help people (even with their chores but that's not most of the time), immerse myself in new environments and socialising with new people. I also like to play and teach children, though I'm more likely to also spoil them.
