Hi there :)
We're Ben & Natasha - a young(-ish!) couple from London taking a year-long break from our careers (Natasha is a lawyer, and Ben is an ex-management consultant working at a healthcare tech startup). We are both happy in our city lives (with careers & local friends that we're sad to step away from!), but from the many travelling experiences we’ve had so far, we feel that there is so much more to explore that it’s worth taking the plunge for!
A bit about us (Ben writing this!) - Natasha is the kindest type of person that you'll meet: she's so thoughtful about others, gets on with anyone, and is a driver in getting things done! I'm a very easy-going person, enjoy getting stuck in with new experiences and will say yes to ideas as default! We're a great team and are both really excited about the people and projects that the right workaway could introduce us to :)
We have both travelled a lot, with time spent living in different countries too. Natasha has had great experiences with Workaway previously (teaching English in a school in the Cambodian countryside, and assisting a social entrepreneur in Melbourne) and is looking forward to sharing the experience with me now. When we are not travelling, we enjoy hanging out with friends (playing sports and board games), spending time with family (in particular looking after Natasha's little cousins, and my parents' dog), cooking and enjoying theatre/comedy shows.
We're quite flexible with our plans and are motivated by getting involved in interesting projects while connecting with interesting people. See more about our experience in the skills section below, but ultimately we’re happy to help out wherever we can. We’re non-smokers, keep active and while we enjoy a glass of wine or beer over a meal, our partying days are behind us! We eat everything but are very happy to slot into vegetarian households as required.Interests

Tutoring & childcare:
We both have strong academics: Natasha studied Law at Oxford University, whilst I studied Engineering at Cambridge University and, thanks to an academic scholarship, spent a year studying at MIT and Harvard. We both love children and have spent summers working at summer camps, teaching English as a foreign language, and tutoring children of friends and family. Our ideal weekends are spent looking after Natasha's little cousins, giving them the full camping experience in our back garden, and filling the daytime with baking, sports and video games.
Business processes and marketing:
I have spent the last 6 years working as a management consultant and scaling up a healthcare tech company in the NHS (now used by +400,000 medical staff). I love getting stuck into solving new problems, and would be excited to apply what I’ve learned to help you out in whatever way I can.
General organisation, planning & getting stuff done:
Tasha has spent the last 6 years working as a commercial lawyer so is used to hard work, balancing lots of different tasks and managing people. Once given a project she will use her initiative to run with it, enjoying the responsibility.
Extra pairs of hands around the house/business:
Ultimately, we’re happy doing whatever we can to be as helpful as possible!Age
