Hey folks👋
My name is Mirko and I‘m on an open-end trip around the world with my partner Dani 🙃
I‘m open-minded, communicative, love sports and exploring the nature away from tourist hotspots. And I really want to put my positive energy into awesome intercultural / social / animal supporting volunteering projects to do my best to make the world a better place and get to know great people :)
For example I spent 1.5 weeks in a wonderful animal sanctuary near Maribor (Slovenia), supporting the small family with their over 60 animals they give shelter. I really experienced pleasure picking organically grown olives and preparing the ground with nets on a beautiful camping place near Himarë (South Albania) and also on a cute family's place on Korfu (Greece).
Within the next months I spent 6 weeks in a surf camp (Turkey), where I helped building roof tents and smaller painting jobs and also 2 weeks in a yoga retreat (Georgia), in which I worked with concrete to build a foundation.
Next to that I live vegan since 7 years, rediscovered my love for reading and cooking, tend to start being nerdy when it comes to boardgames and love to experience new exciting places of our stunningly beautiful planet.Interests

I would love to be able to rudimentary communicate with folks from countries I'm in. And if I stay for a bit longer I have a strong motivation to improve this skills. On one hand because it's fun and fulfilling to be able to communicate more easily and sustainably with other people, but even more importantly on the other hand to have a good vibe with the local people, understand them and show them respect. That's is what I love about learning languages, although I'm still a beginner when it comes to having a bigger variety of language at my disposal :)Skills and knowledge I'd like to share or learn

What else ...
I lived in Hamburg for ages, did my designer job and lived a regular routined life. After having a tough separation I started questioning fundamental things – about my way of living – what I've seen of the world so far – and except for being a vegan, how little I have contributed to social, agricultural, sustainable improvements in the world that is in a fundamental crisis (not just since yesterday).
Apart from that, I was and still am – a boardgame geek :) I love boardgames in all of their forms and varieties. Because nowadays our society (including me) tends to spend so much time on digital things, analog games are a way for me to compensate this on a playful level, while sitting together and having fun. Some more information
