I have trained and worked as an epidemiologist, which equipped me with technical knowledge about public health as well as computer skills, statistics, and scientific writing.

Potentially more useful for Workaway will be my experience working in hospitality and personal creative projects. I have worked in restaurants and cafes as waiting staff. This gave me experience with customer service and cleaning. I even got to use my baking skills to make delicious cakes and cookies for customers. I have been sewing clothes for about 10 years and would also be able to make some home furnishings such as curtains. I love gardening and diy, even though I am a beginner with both I am really keen to learn more and don’t mind getting my hands dirty!

I have spent several years volunteering for various organisations and charities in the area of humanitarian aid and public health. Most of my experience was with communications and monitoring and evaluation of projects.

What else ...

I love being outdoors, whether it’s hiking, swimming, running, or just laying in the grass and watching the world go by. I spend a lot of time listening to music and try to go to live gigs whenever possible. Food is a big passion of mine, cooking and trying new foods makes me really happy. I also love watching films, reading novels, trivia games and good conversations 😊
