  • Description

I'm Janine, a socialworker and artist who loves spending time outdoors and has a big heart for animals and nature.

I'm originally from Germany, and I moved to England in 2021. I used to work in children's homes and as a school counselor. Helping kids has always been my passion and I'm excited to continue that journey, as a part-time online mentor for children. Being able to work remotely gives me the opportunity to travel and work on different projects at the same time.
I very much enjoy working with my hands, whether it's making art or taking on various handy projects.
From gardening and woodworking to furniture restoration and renovations, I'm passionate with everything I do.

I have a big green thumb and love taking care of plants, watching them thrive and learning about them. I'm efficient, hardworking, and love finding creative solutions to problems:)

My partner and I are going to move abroad to build a small, eco-friendly home and live a simpler, more sustainable life. While we're waiting for residency permits, we want to use our free time to help and support others.

I'm looking forward to volunteering and picking up some useful skills for our future home. It's a great way to learn and make a difference!

    Hi,

I'm Lyndon, I love to make things and to spend time in nature making friends with animals and humans alike. I've always had a very curious mind and enjoy the pursuit of new knowledge and skills. I like to meet new people and have a decent sense of humor.

For the last ten years my career has been mainly in carpentry & Joinery, before that I was a tattoo artist. I've worked in a variety of different environments with many different materials and tools, as part of a team and by myself. From high end exhibitions/events to film sets, home renovations and off grid buildings. I love variety and I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty. I have some experience working in confined spaces and at height. I really enjoy a challenge and coming up with creative solutions when problems occur.

Spent a lot of time on my grandfathers farm when I was growing up, so I'm generally pretty good with animals and bad weather :)

I am a big believer in mutual aid; I intend to spend my future applying my skills to nature conservation and humanitarian projects with like minded people.

We have a converted van loaded with tools and equipment so accommodation isn't essential for us (although use of a bathroom would be greatly appreciated).

  • More details about your skills

I'm skilled in gardening and have good knowledge of plants. When it comes to painting, I take a clean, detailed, and precise approach. I'm able to use power tools, mainly in woodworking. Heavier work is no problem for me, I love to take on projects and pull through.
I'm also adept at taking care of animals, handling tasks like feeding and cleaning. I grew up surrounded by forests and farming, and have a deep connection and understanding for everything that is involved in it.
In spring this year my partner and I stayed in Sweden for two months, during that time partly helped out on a small homestead with a garden, sheep, chickens and ducklings.
