Hello, Im Lucas, a 24 year old Portuguese / Norwegian gardener and designer, enthusiastic about community living, ecology, DIY, cultural exchange and self sufficiency.

I am on a journey of finding myself a van for living in and to travel with across Europe at the moment as for a long time iv dreamed of doing it and now I feel ready and more excited than ever to do so!

I have lots of experience in hand crafts like carpentry, jewellery making, casting, DIY, and gardening / landscaping from since I was young as well as from my studies at University in London.

I love to cook and to share food and recipes with friends and family but also new people. I've had many shared living experiences with friends as well as totally new people and find that I enjoy the simple acts which bring households together like tea on a chilly morning or making a herbs and spice crop for the kitchen window cill.

My grandfather is my greatest inspiration in ecology who had his own vegetable garden growing up and who holds so much knowledge I have had the privilege to learn from him alongside. More recently my father has retired and has moved to a farm house in the countryside of Portugal where we have also been lucky to exercise all our gardening and organic food production dreams, even a little wine making! :)

Along the way id love to join with fellow travellers as much as possible to share experiences and learn from one another!

My skills are diverse and widespread in a few fields from a materials, designing and building sense to more ecological skills in gardening, plant knowledge & nutrition and cultivation to culinary skills being a decent cook and finally digital skills with good comfortability with electronic devices and their most common softwares as well as art and design softwares.
More than anything I really love working with my hands. I make some jewellery as a hobby and have had professional experience as a carpenter, a metal sculpture foundry worker and also an internship with an electric car conversion garage which combined all these skills in one and was very rewarding.
