Hello Workaway hosts!

Thank you for taking the time to look through my profile. I am Karin, a Czech born in Germany, having lived in the UK for 11 years now. And since there’s no time like the present, I’ve decided to quite literally turn my life upside down and head to New Zealand on a working holiday visa - something I’ve wanted to do since I can remember.

A little bit about myself: I’m currently a Project Manager at a Game Studio in sunny Brighton where I worked for 2 years after a long career at American Express. I’m well organised, reliable, detail oriented and I love to plan.

I am very passionate about animals. I have a cat called Poppy, and a bearded dragon - Tigerlily. Making sure they will be in good hands during my travel adventures has been my highest priority, and leaving them my biggest heartache. I would love for my stays to include lots of pets that I can temporarily adopt.

I do a lot of photography, mainly wildlife, and can’t wait to see what I’ll encounter on the other side of the world. Nature is a huge part of my life, I love being outdoors, going on hikes, kayaking rivers and lakes. I am mainly interested in staying areas that are a little more remote rather than cities.

I don’t shy away from hard work, happy to roll my sleeves up and happiest when I get a sense of achievement. I’m great at following instructions, and very keen to learn new things. I’d love to help around animals, in the garden and with house maintenance.
I’m also good with computers, spreadsheets and anything more adminy.

What else ...

I'm looking forward to meet new people, equally I'm a bit of an introvert and enjoy some time to myself. I have a long list of books I wanted to get stuck into, get up before sunrise to capture the best light for photos, enjoy stargazing without any light pollution.
I am also working on a mobile game with a friend in my spare time, learning bits of game design, coding, art and animation on the way.
