Description
We are an adventurous couple who have both quit our jobs to travel Asia, Central America and South America over the next year or two! We want to take this time explore and experience some of the amazing places the world has to offer and invest our energy in helping the lovely communities we meet along the way.
I have a background in ecology and wildlife conservation is very close to my heart. I also have some basic building experience working as a labourer and assisting plumbers, carpenters and landscape gardeners. I am not a qualified builder but I am fairly good with most tools and enjoy working hard to see a project through to completion.
Amy has a background in teaching, with four years experience teaching children from ages 5-11. She has played the saxophone since the age of 9 and has a real passion for music.
We both love playing, sport, meeting new people and living life to its fullest. We are very excited to get off grid, away from our phones and getting stuck in to some of the amazing projects that Workaway has to offer.
We look forward to meeting you soon 😁Interests

I have a degree in Ecology and have experience delivering wildlife conservation and research projects. I have previously worked with a wildlife conservation trust in the south of England. During this time I worked on a project creating artificial breeding habitats for a protected species of bird and monitored these areas to collect data on how these habitats performed.
I have also worked on a turtle conservation project in Cyprus where we tracked and monitored nesting turtles and protected the hatchlings until they reached the see.
I love scuba diving and have my PADI Advanced open water qualification.
I also have experience working in the building industry. I have previously worked as a labourer and assisted carpenters, plumbers and landscape gardeners. I am not a qualified builder but this experience has taught me how to use a range of tools and complete a range of tasks. I enjoy physical work and love seeing a finished product from my efforts.
I am a fast learner and I am happy using my initiative to find solutions to problems I encounter.
