Hi there!

I’m Hanne and I live and work in Brussels.

I'm working at a multidisciplinary art house in the heart of Brussels. Every day we are welcoming local and international artists and their performance, music, expo, film, nightlife, conversations.

We’re a very open, queer and ambitious house.

I'm part of the small but full force communications team that is running projects from the very beginning beyond the end. My focus is on campaigns (from printing posters to running insta-stories), taking care of audiences (from publishing the programme as accessible as possible on the website to welcoming artists and audiences at the door), developing creative formats (my favourite), design and design choices (or maybe this one is my favourite), offline and online strategies, copywriting and inclusive language, managing and coding all kinds of communication systems (email, ticketing, web development), making a content plan and making that plan happen.

But I also love to spend some time away from the screen. I gladly jump up from my chair to take over a bar shift, carry a big decor piece into the building, give the basement of the building or the archive in the attic a deep clean or fix a last-minute light set up.

What else ...

If I’m not working at beursschouwburg I’m volunteering with artist-driven and/or LGBTQIA+ initiatives in Brussels, doing the above. If I’m not working at all, I’m swimming (preferably in nature, although options are very limited in Belgium …) or I’m on my bike. I love organizing bike adventures for my friends. This summer we biked from Brussels to the Trans Pride in Brighton. And it was wonderful. Going somewhere together as a team (fixing bikes on the way, taking new steps in a queer project) is what makes me happy. Ah and I also love to do absolutely nothing for a moment :).

I’m taking a 6-month break from work (starting October 1). I want to open up space for new experiences, connections, and more nature. Don’t hesitate to ask me any questions!
