Hi! I am Eponine, a French woman who loves to explore.
I am currently living in Paris, working as an engineer for climate mitigation.
In 2020 I started to be aware of climate issues, I went to my first wwoofing stay in France, and then I learned more about the current others environmental and social issues. When I finished my studies in 2021 I took a gap year and spent the first six months volunteering in central Europe (mostly Czech Republic, Hungary, Germany and Austria) in familles, communities or farms where people where living very consciously, taking care of the land and the people. There, I helped gardening, doing carpentry, cooking, cutting wood (I love it so much), taking care of children, looking after the sheeps, decorating a place for a festival. And I also met and connected with a lot of beautiful people.
Now I started to work, and I balance my life between the crowded city where most of the people I love are living, my tiny quiet appartment in the border of Paris not far from a forest, dance, activism, and also breaks from this busy life when I join French communities or I go explore new places by myself, or even just when I medidate.
I look for places where people care about each other as much as they care about the environment. I am very curious and I want both to learn new skills, and discover other ways of thinking, as much as sharing our histories and knowledge. I am particularly interested in sustainable ways of living related to nature, and crafts.
On the whole, I think I am open-minded, really interested in discovering new people, and I am very calm and peaceful. So I also like to be by myself sometime, to recenter and meditate in nature or in a quiet place.
Hope to meet you very soon!

I’ve volunteered several times in France: helping pupils with their homework, hosting the public at a French foundation dedicated to the environment, and being part of the foodservice team for people in need.
Most of the skills that can be useful, I learned from experiences in volunteering.
I worked with crafts and wood, prepared a garden, chopped a lot of wood, painted doors and walls, looked after a group of several sheeps, played with children, cooked.
Also, I know a lot about climate change, that can be interesting to talk about!
And finally, as a French person, I know how to cook crepes! ;)Age

I have been in this great place for two super fast weeks in December, and for sure I will miss the people and the time here. Within the few first days, I was quickly introduced to all of the inhabitants of the place. I first mix all of their names, of course, but I had the feeling of being welcomed very warm. I had my own place, nearby the… read more
