Description
I am an open-minded, easy going late-20 something Yoga Teacher and Vegan Baker who loves to travel and meet new people. I've decided to take some time away from my work over Summer to enable me to travel, meet new people and start a new adventure.
A few years ago, after quiting my first 9-5 office job, I travelled to Vietnam, Cambodia and
Sri Lanka, volunteering in language schools, experiencing different cultures and meeting an abundance of welcoming people. It was in this time that I had the idea to spend some time in India completing my yoga teacher training. Four years later and I'm now a fully qualified Adults and Children's Yoga Teacher with regular classes which I've been running over the past 4 years. I'm also a newly qualified nassage therapist (in Indian Head Massage) and am in the process of qualifying in Baby Yoga. In this time I've also set up a home vegan bakery, which keeps me travelling around the cities markets and has brought me a loyal following.
I have previously spent a year in France teaching English to 13- 18 year old students, which helped enhance my teaching skills and gave me hands on experience of dependently controlling an entire group of students. It also gave me the opportunity to explore creative new teaching methods which engaged the students in fun and interactive ways of developing their language skills. Additionally I've taught English in Vietnam, India and, most recently, online to Chinese students.
During my studies I have developed a keen interest in international business and development, being fascinated with developing countries strategic planning and paths to sustainable development. I am also very interested in the effects of tourism on a developing country and how sustainable tourism can be achieved and maintained.
I am passionate about exploring new places and have visited numerous countries, experiencing different cultures and meeting exciting new people. I have previously backpacked around Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, The Phillipines, Hawaii, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Europe and India; experiencing cultures completely different to my own and seeing an abundance of diversely beautiful places. I also love animals, thoroughly enjoy cooking and have a keen interest in trying and experimenting with new dishes and foods.
Throughout my trip I’m looking to broaden my horizons, have new experiences and challenge myself. I hope to explore many new places and would love to help you out during a new workaway experience.Interests

This was our first workaway experience and to be honest, we weren't entirely sure what to expect! However, our apprehensions we're removed as we immediately felt very welcome by Jo and Daz, and their two lovely dogs! The house was lovely and the… read more
