Hello, I'm Carla and I'm from Germany. I am 23 years old and currently studying online for my Masters in Social Work. On the side, I worked as a social worker with people with mental or cognitive disabilities until recently. I love discovering new places, meeting new people and learning new things. I am interested in music, nature and sports. For example I enjoy snowboarding, swimming or surfing.
I'd like to travel with Workaway because I think it's a great way to see the world while doing something meaningful. I would like to help other people, give something back and learn something new at the same time. I am very flexible and adaptable and willing to adapt to different situations.
I have already gained some experience that can be useful at Workaway. For example, I worked as a babysitter, accompanied holiday camps as a supervisor, and was involved in a gardening project for people with psycological sicknesses.
I also enjoy renovatin furniture or sewing and doing smaller manual jobs.
I speak fluent German, English and Spanish and a little bit of French. I would like to improve my language skills and maybe learn a new language.
I'm planning to travel for a while in the summer and study online on the side. I am open to all kinds of projects and I am especially happy about a friendly and open-minded team that I can be part of.
