Description
First and foremost, I’m very friendly and have a naturally sunny disposition. I love traveling and meeting new people. I spent a good chunk of my twenties living and travelling to the Middle East, Canada, Australia, America, and South East Asia but in recent years, I’ve stayed closer to home and have fallen in love with Europe. That includes numerous stints as a wwoofer on organic farms but Im giving workaway a chance as I’m not that keen on living without electricity and hot water again! I love the simple things in life. Give me good food and company and I’m happy.

I have a broad range of skills, definitely a jack of all trades. I’m currently working as a carpenter/handyman installing furniture and kitchens in interior fitouts (large apartment blocks and student residencies). I’ve done some traditional oak framing but not enough to say I’m a fully fledged framer. I have built oak garden rooms and would love to do more small wooden structures.
I’ve also worked professionally as a baker for 4 years. I loved it but working nights didn’t agree with me. I have also worked in restaurants as a chef and waiting and have experience working in a brewery too.
My profile photos will give you an idea of my recent work. In the barn conversion, I installed a mezzanine level floor, cut and installed a showpiece staircase from a solid piece of chestnut. I removed the single glazed windows and installed new double glazing. Installed rafters and batons and then plasterboard on the ceiling. Tape and jointed and painted ceiling. Plastered directly on to stone walls and brick walls first with lime and then plaster. Built a brick wall for the entrance and then a stone facade.
The last three photos are of a stone window installation at my current host.Age
