I adore being in nature and explore new cultures. Therefore language practice and teaching, gardening and fishing are one of my favourite past time activities.

Description

Hey guys, my name is Bram, an 18-year old lad from Ghent, Belgium.
Besides playing basketball, I love to go cycling and running in my past time. I'm fond of learning various languages and most of all I adore meeting all possible types of people from all over the globe. Oh yeah, talking about my city is a big passion as well. My friends call me the proudest Ghentian on earth, a nickname I cherish very much.
My parents gave me the passion to discover new places. As a kid they took me all across the globe to meet different people. From Sri Lanka to Cuba, the Netherlands and South Africa they taught me that every place is wonderful, but gets even more marvelous when talking to the locals.
Now as an 18-year old I'd love to keep on coming across interesting people and immerse myself in diverse cultures. Getting to know more about the daily life of others while helping them with their daily grind (gardening, carpentry, looking after the kids) actually sounds very exiting to me ! As long as there is good company and nature, I don't need much else.

More details about my language interests
Languages have been my biggest passion since years. Because I'm Belgian, my native tongue is dutch (flemish), have good notions of english and french and am still learning german at school! I started learning spanish when I was fourteen and am now focussing on the melodious swedish language. Oh and I studied Latin for six years, but since Cicer, Caesar or any other Roman passed away for more than a millenium ago, that won't improve my communication skills at all. ;) I'd love to improve my notions of German and Swedish and am therefore very much interested in a language buddy.
