Hi! As my profile shows, my name's Avril! I've just graduated last summer and I'm currently on a gap year.

The first thing you should know about me is that I'm passionate about animals and nature. At home, we have a dog, 3 cats, chickens and two horses. One of my first word as a child was "cat".
I'm a curious person who likes to discover new things. I love learning! In my spare time, I like to draw, write "poems", play guitar and dance. Recently, I've learned how to crochet...
I also enjoy spending time with my friends, whether at parties or on walks in the woods, where you can have deep conversations about philosophy for example...

I think that traveling while helping others is in line with my values. Because you have the opportunity to meet new people, learn about another culture and acquire new skills. I believe we can discover ourselves through others.

I've worked on internships at 4 different organic farms. Each was a fabulous experience where I learned how to sow, plant and harvest. We made baskets of vegetables, which we then sold at the market. I also had to take care of different animals, such as horses, cows, chickens, goats...
I'm also a member of a youth association, where we organize several events a year, like New Year's Eve party or sports tournaments. With them, I learned how to serve, to decorate (paint the room, etc.) and also how to make all kinds of wooden constructions...

What else ...

At the age of 10, I spent a year with my parents and sister in a horse-drawn caravan. During this trip, we crossed France, stopping each evening at a farmer's house (we needed a plot of land to park the horses, but we were autonomous in our caravan). This trip allowed me to grow by discovering another way of life. It enabled me to become independent more quickly (we had to be home-schooled). The encounters I made on this trip are memories that will stay with me forever.
