Hello! My name is April, I'm 32 and from London.
I'm currently taking a year off of work to finally fulfil some of my travel dreams, see the world and meet people from all over. I'd love to be a useful Workawayer for you and have some great travel experiences in the process!
I love animals, food, writing, a good chat and nature.
I adore all kinds of animals and have a soft spot for dogs.
I'm a meat-eater but am happy to be flexible around meals and would happily get involved in the kitchen.
I very much enjoy practical work, and while I have limited garden and no farming experience, I'm fit and keen to learn and will give anything my best shot.
I like to stay fit when I'm at home, and have recently stopped competing as an amateur boxer and I'm now working towards being a qualified boxing coach. I also used to be a secondary school teacher in a previous life, and enjoy spending time with kids and young people.
I do not have a driving license, which I understand will be a bit difficult in NZ, but I am hoping to tailor my experience around this somewhat and do what I can without one.

I am fit and hard working and happy to turn my hand to anything, whether indoor house work or outdoor gardening and farm work. I have limited garden and no farm experience but I'd be very happy to learn and very much enjoy practical work. I love animals and would be delighted to learn more about how to help take care of them.
I used to be a teacher and am very happy working with and around children and young people. I'm a strong professional writer, if this was of any use to my hosts and also a qualified England Boxing Coach!
I have several years bar and restaurant work, and so have lots of experience of getting stuck in and doing whatever I need to help out.
