I am an avid explorer, an international and intercultural educator, a mom to a fantastic teenager, curious learner, novice yogi, vegan for nearly 20 years, and absolutely love spending time with people and discovering new places and ways of doing, seeing, and being in the world. I work remotely as an education and training consultant and rotate my time in the US and abroad. I typically spend 2 months in the US, 2 months abroad, etc... I am a former AFS exchange student (Austria), former US Peace Corps trainee (South Africa), and I have also spent time living and working in Belize and Brazil. My work in international education has also taken me to many places around the world and I especially appreciate the opportunity to travel and be with local hosts in off-the-beaten path locations. I am less interested in the big sights and more interested in simply experiencing the day-to-day of a place.

I am an education experience designer by training-- meaning I often work with individuals or organizations to plan, design (and often facilitate) learning experiences for their audiences. I mostly work with college aged and adult audiences. The content of my work often lies at the intersection of leadership, communication, and intercultural skills development. I also do some work in the equity and inclusion space.
I love to bake and cook and the best part is sharing great food with others. I am a 20-year vegan and vegetarian for a prior 10 years. I can (and occasionally do) cook meat for others.
Other skills: writing, basic yoga, handy with many projects, originally an artist (ceramics and sculpture) by training so also good working on artistic or fine handwork type projects.
I also own a 100 year old home and have completed most of the internal and external projects myself-- I am proficient with plenty of DIY and home repair projects.
Quick learner and usually pretty open to trying new things or learning as I go!
