I recently graduated high school and want to travel Europe from November 2023 till the end of August 2024 before I’ll start studying at the university in Germany :)

Description

Hey, my name is Amrei :)

I’m 18 years old, live in Germany and recently graduated high school. Before I’ll start studying veterinary medicine in October 2024, I want to take a gap year, become a workawayer and travel Europe.
In last year’s summer and autumn (2023) I was working at a campsite with a riding school, where I also spent much time over the last years and gained experience while working with horses, guests, in the restaurant and the reception.

Right now I am traveling and experience my second stay with workaway in Italy.

I enjoy working with animals, especially horses and I’ve been riding since I was a little kid. Growing up being a scout, I’m a very adventurous person, who loves spending time in the nature. Lastly, I like to spend time with other people and I’m always up for playing board games, a picnic, a run/hike or taking photos, because I’m very passionate about photography.

In my gap year I want to gain intercultural experiences, get in contact with new people, improve my language skills and learn new skills from different types of work, like gardening, building/renovations or sustainable projects.

I love animals and am very experienced with horses, since I’ve been riding regularly for ten years. While working at “Reiterparadies Campingplatz” (https://reiterparadies-campingplatz.de/) I also provided riding lessons, led ride-outs and did stable work. In addition I’ve been working in the reception and the restaurant that belongs to the farm.
My family has always owned dogs and cats, therefore I know how to care for them.

I’m very passionate about veterinary medicine, because of that I’m also really interested in working with other farm animals like sheep or cows.
I don’t mind getting my hands dirty and working outside in bad weather conditions, while doing stable or gardening work for example.

Apart from farm work, I can also do household chores and take care of children. In addition I’m into photography and like to take pictures with my camera.

I have a driver’s license and like to drive.
