Hello! I’m so excited to be a part of the work away community! I love to travel, explore, and share experiences with new people:) I’ve spent my past couple summers tree planting in British Columbia and pretty much try to spend as much time as possible outdoors, whether I’m surfing, skiing, hiking or planting trees!

I’ve done a decent bit of traveling, picking up some French and Spanish in the process. Previous jobs include working in a bakery, market gardens, at a marina, brushing, and tree planting. I’m in decent shape and comfortable with any outdoor physical work. I’ve also spent lots of time with little kids as I have two younger sisters! But I’m always down to try new things too:))

I spend my free time hiking, running, skiing, surfing, reading books and experimenting in the kitchen. I can always be persuaded to join a game of catan, and I love days spent wandering bookshops, museums, thrift stores, and cafes.

Ah Amber, our workhorse! We miss her already!
Amber is incredibly strong (she is a tree planter who can move a goathouse almost by herself!), she seems to be always in a good mood, she is always motivated to work and learn and she loves boardgames!

I spent a lovely month on the farm in autumn. I was there in February/March, which was such a fun time to be around, as so much fruit and produce was perfectly ripe! I cannot recommend this workaway enough! I spent a lovely month with Oliva and Herbert, and it was a great experience for my first workaway. I immediately felt welcomed into their home, as they invited me to join them on day trips to nearby towns, and introduced me to their friends. Amber stayed around a month with us and we have been very happy to have her hosted.
She is a very easy going young woman and helped us in a variety of tasks. Sanding, varnishing and assambling in the carpentry, cooking delicuous meals (if you are lucky and she stays with you you should definetely try her cooking abilities).
