I have just arrived back home and keen to find some workaways to do around my beautiful home country. I have realized there is soo much to see and experience here in the heart of SA!

I am someone who finds joy in the little everyday things. This may be the smell that comes with rain, sharing laughter with a friend, solitude walks, a beautiful sunset or a sunrise swim in the sea, the feeling you get after going for a good long hike, random hugs and I could probably go on! Hello there. It's Alexandra here. 20 y/o simple individual from a small town in South Africa. I am currently studying nature conservation in George, SA. I have always loved the concept of workaway and so I decided to set up an account of my own!

I am a young individual but feel I have had some good experience in the following areas.. I have done my fair share of babysitting as well as worked as an Aupair in Switzerland for close to 3 months. This taught me very well how to cooperate with people and kids alongside this also being able to get experience in doing thorough housework. (changing beds, cleaning rooms, windows, mopping as well as doing some garden work)
I have done quite a bit of voluntary work on farms back at home in SA and on two lama/alpaca and camel farms in Germany.
I have had the privilege of doing some community service/charity work in a small town in Germany for a month. This involved cooking and baking for elderly and less fortunate people. I have some experience doing house and dog sitting as well. I had the opportunity of doing a workaway in Italy which involved mainly doing painting jobs. I’ve also been able to spend some of my gap year in the South of France doing a good amount of gardening and painting work in a villa on top of a hill. :)
