I was impressed by your kindness, patience, and dedication in ensuring the guest experience was comfortable and enjoyable. Your positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure everyone’s needs were met didn’t go unnoticed. You were an excellent ambassador for the hostel, demonstrating that every guest is treated with dignity and respect, which was a refreshing experience. Thank you for all that you do. We were so grateful to have Leslie stay with us! I don’t often have people come who want to cook so it was wonderful to have her dinners most nights. Being a mainly vegan/vegetarian family, it is always great when we have a good vegan cook in the house 😊 Leslie is also very detailed and thorough. The dishes and kitchen were always clean, which in our house of so many busy people, this was highly appreciated! Also, she was very thorough in weeding and beatifying the yard and area around the house. She transplanted some succulents that were not growing in a good location, and created nice landscaping. We also needed to put in a drain pipe through the yard, and she helped with the digging, grating, and installation of this big 100 foot long pipe. Leslie is very sweet with the children, it is clear that she has a solid background in working with young children. She willingly helped out at a school festival, and she was able to watch while she was here a musical of the Wizard of Oz that our 11-year-old was in. All our children love her and were sad to see her go. She has a very calm disposition. She is reliable and is a clear communicator. I really enjoyed learning about her life, growing up in France and Zürich, and all the sweet discussions we had 💜 The moment she left, I missed her right away. I would always welcome her back in a heartbeat. I highly recommend Leslie for your Workaway!

This was my first workaway experience and I couldn’t have wished for anything better. I was welcomed by a truly wonderful family — warm, caring and and easy to get along with.. The place is just beautiful, perfect for an authentic aussie experience surrounded by nature. I enjoyed helping out in the garden, with the kids and around the house, while we also tried speaking a bit of Italian together. It genuinely felt like home, I enjoyed our conversations and the time spent with the whole family. I’ve learned so much during these 3 weeks, thank you all for everything. Quentin stayed with us for over two weeks. It was a pleasure to host him. He is very easy going, very helpful and respectful. Quentin was chopping firewood, bringing manure into the garden, cooking , played chess with my son and built a birdhouse. I hope we will see him again. I absolutely recommend hosting him.

My experience with Tarek and his family could not have been more amazing. As soon as I got to the house I was welcomed in and told to make myself at home, and by the end of the trip it truly did feel like a second home. Everyone made sure I was adjusting well, giving me tips on where to go, teaching me about the culture, sharing stories, and laughing together. The work was simple and extremely easy to pick up on - I honestly did not even know what SEO was prior to my arrival. I picked up on it within a few hours and I now feel like I have a skill to add to my jobs in the future. Tarek is a great coworker to have - he encouraged me to take breaks, did not want to start working until I had breakfast/coffee and time to fully wake up, and we would often chat throughout the day about work, family, life in Egypt, my future career path... he gives great life advice too! I am so lucky to have come across this workaway and I cannot recommend this more. Cairo is a beautiful city, very safe, and the people are amazing. I am extremely grateful to this family for giving me the best experience I could've asked for.

Oscar is a wonderful, generous, empathetic person, always eager to learn. He became very involved with the horses, especially Alarik, showing them love and patience, which they both conveyed in a relaxed way. The same thing happened with the dogs; we went to the vet together with all three of them. Oscar was a great companion in every sense, not just as a friend, but he has a knack for every detail. He transplanted plants, sowed seeds, learned about composting, and discovered the world of farming. He was always optimistic and ready to help. He loves to cook. He is a wonderful person, full of light and energy. Wherever he goes, he will be much loved and missed.

How can we summarize such a beautiful and life changing experience in just a few lines? The Farmstay felt like a dream come true for us. The place is full of colors, surrounded by nature and imagination, and infused with the love and passion of its owners, Karan and Leike. Everywhere you look, you find touching details, stunning mountain views, inspiring community projects, and incredibly delicious Indian dishes. We spent one month there in November and wished we could have stayed even longer. The farmstay is located in a peaceful area of Pauri, on a quiet mountainside. Waking up there every morning was a gift, filled with both excitement and deep peace. This is a space to play with a childlike spirit, to co- create, to exchange energy, and to learn from one another. Everyone becomes both a teacher and an apprentice. Our days were spent helping with different tasks, such as teaching English to neighborhood girls, gardening, cooking, and doing small maintenance jobs. We were given complete freedom to contribute in the ways that felt most meaningful to us, which made the experience even more fulfilling. During our stay we spent most of the time with Karan, who is a truly wonderful host. He has a special ability to be fully present, offering thoughtful details and support even before you realize you need anything, while still giving you all the space you want. He is always happy to share deep conversations, practice yoga, play badminton, visit hidden forest temples, or enjoy board games. Sharing the place with him felt like living with a good friend, someone who makes you feel completely at home. Thank you so much, Karan, for sharing yourself, your vision of the world, and your wisdom. We will never see chai as just a drink again. For us it has become a moment of connection, enriched by engaging and inspiring conversations about this fascinating game called Life. We also want to thank the rest of the community, Panku, Lakshmi, Didi, and Didi's daughters. All of you made our stay truly magical!

We had the pleasure of a visit from Keeley for a couple of weeks and we just wish it was a longer stay. She was a motivated helper and would always keep herself busy, even when no tasks were set. Keeley was great company, had a good sense of humour, a positive attitude and got on well with everyone. Jobs she helped us with were varied including; picking and processing fruit and vege's, cleaning, painting the cottage, cleaning up fallen branches after a storm, working in a community plant nursery, helping in the kitchen and cooking us some lovely meals!! Most importantly Keeley connected with our son who has autism and we are so thankful for this. She helped to bring him out of his shell and really became a good friend for him. He felt comfortable and included with Keeley and they cooked together, she took him on trips to town and the pool and they did a daytrip visiting markets with his support worker. We'll all miss Keeley, but especially Jy. We highly recommend Keeley to other prospective hosts and hope to see her again on her Aussie adventure.

Sergio is a wonderful guy, full of energy, kind, hardworking, a great colleague, honest, thoughtful... a fantastic conversationalist who can communicate in several languages, including fluent English... he's the typical volunteer who is capable of a high level of commitment to his work... I can only say wonderful things about this intelligent, cultured person... with a wealth of life experience... respectful... wherever he goes, he'll be a great asset... whenever you want, this is your home.

It's been five days since I left the villa, and I already miss the place and the people there! During my nearly seven weeks there, I experienced both low season (i.e., I had the entire hotel to myself or shared it with one or two guests) and full occupancy with large groups. I have a theory that a certain type of person books this place, as I had the opportunity to meet almost all of the guests, and I can tell you that they were all so nice! My duties were as described here (everything is well organized and clearly communicated, e.g., in the video call), and the overall work for the accommodation and breakfast was more than fair! I had way too much fun checking guests in and making sure they had everything they needed and were having a great time—so I wouldn't consider that part work, haha. The whole team wanted to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed! Thank you so much to Zach, Esteban, and Aurelise for the opportunity to stay with you! Muchas gracias Yez y Yara por todas las charlas, la comidas riquísimas y su cariño! And a very special thank you to Bo for all the smelly hugs 😅. I would have loved to stay longer to enjoy the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets in this peaceful and fun place :)

She is a really nice woman and helped me much with my animals. Happy to have her in my place. Her dogs are very friendly and good with my dogs and cats.

Great people. Made a chicken coop from the scrap we have lying around the place and were able to work without guidance. If you get fhe chance definitely say yes to them. Ypu wont regret it

Hannu stayed for a month during November and was a good worker. He pruned fruit trees and helped with firewood and painted a few shutters if it was not possible to work in the garden due to weather conditions. He was adaptable, polite and conscientious and worked well on his own which I think he likes. He has a healthy appetite and appreciated the meals made for him. He is an ideal advocate for Workaway and will prove a useful addition to many projects.

I spent one month volunteering at Harim’s school in Casablanca, and I am deeply grateful for this wonderful opportunity. Working with the students was not only enjoyable but also incredibly inspiring. Their curiosity, kindness, and enthusiasm made every day meaningful, and I truly appreciated being part of their learning journey. I want to highlight how much I valued the time spent with the other volunteers. Its a nice place to meet many nice and interesting people from all over the world. I also want to mention and appreciate the three freshly prepared lunches provided. They were always delicious. During my free days, I took the chance to explore different parts of the country on my own, as well as join the trips organized by the school. I would like to thank Harim and Khalil for their constant kindness, assistance, and availability. I am particularly grateful to Harim for giving me the opportunity to work at both school locations in Casablanca — it was a privilege to gain insight into each place. This month has been an unforgettable experience, and I would be delighted to return one day. Thank you once again for everything.

Finn is fantastic in every possible way. We love her and our kids love her even more. There is not one bad thing to say about Finn. You should see yourself lucky if you get to have her stay!

Mi estadía con Elena fue genial, una mujer muy amable, divertida y original, también es una madre asombrosa, sus hijos Lorenzo y Leonardo son unos niños maravillosos, inteligentes y también súper divertidos. Hicimos muchas actividades juntos como dibujar, pasear, pintar , jugar a la pelota o ver anime juntos. Los llevé a sus respectivas actividades varias, realmente un trabajo muy simple y que puedes disfrutar mucho haciéndolo. Elena y Biagio siempre se aseguraron de que tuviese lo que necesitara., tuve mi propia habitación con baño, tienes privacidad y también mucho tiempo libre en las mañanas, puedes andar en bici que lo recomiendo un montón , puedes ir de senderismo, ir a ver una película , comer algo. Elena es bravissima cocinando , hace unos platillos deliciosos , la salsa ragú es una de mis favoritas con la pasta, y la carne que prepara también es increíble , yo también le compartí algunas recetas. Fueron 5 semanas mágicas donde disfruté mucho de los alrededores , la costa , visité portofino , Camogli , Cinque Terre entre muchos otros. Chiavari es un pueblo pequeño pero encantador , todos fueron muy amables, vistas espectaculares, los atardeceres en el muelle eran mi cosa favorita de hacer y el gelato… mucho gelato haha. Sin duda Recomiendo muchísimo esta experiencia , y por supuesto que volveré pronto! Gracias por todo

Laura stayed with us for a little over three weeks, and we are truly grateful for everything she brought to our home. She is a warm, kind, and dedicated person, and it was a joy to host her as our first volunteer from Colombia. During her stay, she supported us through very busy days with patience, strength, and a willingness to help wherever needed. She cared deeply for the dogs, understood the challenges we face in rescue work, and contributed her time and energy with genuine compassion. Her thoughtful donation was also deeply appreciated. She also shared her incredible cooking skills and introduced us to the beautiful food culture of Colombia, which we enjoyed so much. Her presence made a real difference here, and we will always remember her kindness and positive spirit. We wholeheartedly recommend Laura to any future host. She is reliable, respectful, easy to live with, and brings a wonderful energy to any project. Laura, we wish you all the best on your next journey — our door will always be open for you.

It was a huge pleasure meeting Yasmin and having her stay with us. Her big smile is infectious. While she was here, she had a couple of main jobs to work on, mostly fall clean up and clearing away invasive plants and then a few other property care things as they came up. She did a beautiful job with anything else we asked her to do. She worked independently and asked questions for direction as she needed. Yasmin liked baking and made some amazing goodies while she was here which we all enjoyed so much. We shared dinners, had great conversations and enjoyed music together. Yasmin also liked to help prepare dinner, she made some dinners for us all on her own initiative. Yasmin is off exploring new areas which she does with confidence and thoughtfulness. Yasmin is someone you would be be very happy to host at your place. She is welcome back here anytime. We would love to spend time with her again.

Janik and Laurent warmly welcomed me and made me feel at home during my stay (2 weeks, which is the minimum). It's a nice and large place where there is always something to do. The work depends on your skills and willingness to learn. I did painting, fixing things, computing and tiling (that I learnt with Laurent). Sometimes, I got dinner with Janik and Laurent, and trust me, we eat well ! Moreover, if you like nature, calm and hiking, you are at the right place. Thanks again for your kindness ! I had a wonderful time teaching english in Jin's schools. The kids were very sweet and adorable, so it was super gratifying to teach them english. One day, Jin took me to this beautiful temple up in the mountains. That was an amazing experience! Thanks!
