Hiranya Shreyas and Bolt stayed in our farm for over 2 months. Always happy , great vibes , willing to learn and participate in a task and activity. We had great time working in the farm , clearing wild brumbles, preparing new areas for planting, pruning fruit trees , planting new trees and harvesting olives . Shreyas helped in building the new wood structure for the caravan’s bathroom, and other cleaning tasks . We shared evenings of talks and laughter, while eating dinner together. Bolt - the gentle giant- is the most relaxed and easy going dog ever . Became a good friend of Heavy our dog , and was always peaceful with all the farm animals. Really great experience

I stayed for about one month with Lotta, Tommy, and Bruno in Santa Barbara, and I had an amazing time. Lotta and Tommy are some of the coolest people I’ve ever met. They’re incredibly flexible, relaxed, and never stressed, especially Tommy. From the very beginning, they welcomed me so warmly that I immediately felt at home, like a new family member. I especially loved sharing breakfasts, lunches, and dinners all together at the beautiful wooden table, usually covered with Bruno’s toys and art supplies. This is a very lively home, and I felt more than comfortable sharing it with them. And obviously, Bruno is the best. Such a handsome, well behaved, and funny boy. It’s impossible not to fall in love with him immediately. I really enjoyed playing with him and felt very honored that I, being completely ignorant about Pokémon, was asked to play Pokémon with him. Although there were moments when I wished he’d leave me alone for a second so I could get some work done, I already missed him after just a few minutes once he left for school :D Besides enjoying my role as a newly adopted family member and playing with Bruno, and of course cuddling the cat Canela and the dog Panchula, I learned a lot about woodworking from Tommy. He showed me how to use different tools that I hadn’t worked with before. I helped him build a bed, a wooden platform as a path to the glamping tent, and wooden signs for the campsite. He is a great teacher and clearly knows what he’s doing, having created this beautiful house and campsite himself. He is also one of the most relaxed people I’ve ever met, and his positive mood is very contagious. The same goes for Lotta, who somehow always stays calm while multitasking, taking care of Bruno, cooking and baking in the food truck, and working remotely on her laptop. Beyond that, if you love beaches and sunsets, this is definitely the place to be. I’ve never seen such a beautiful beach with so few people. It truly feels like the Jurassic Coast, and you can often see sea lions and dolphins. Funnily, the campsite itself has such a great atmosphere that I often didn’t even feel the need to walk the two minutes to the beach and preferred staying there instead. The surrounding nature, especially Pumalin Park, is also definitely worth visiting. I’m very grateful that Lotta and Tommy helped me organize everything so I could visit a glacier of the Michinmahuida volcano. The campsite is also a very social place, with travelers camping there, even though I wasn’t there during high season, and Lotta and Tommy’s lovely friends coming by quite often. And there’s always music playing (even in the campsite bathrooms)! At the same time, if you feel like you need some alone time, that’s completely fine too and you can simply take space for yourself. This place is much more than a Workaway. It’s a home away from home, and I’m very grateful to have been part of their happy family :) Now that I’ve left, I miss it a lot and I will definitely come back at some point!

Claire came to volunteer at my dog project with a friend for 2 weeks. She very clearly loves dogs, and spent a lot of time with them. Claire was very pleasant and friendly to have in the house, kept common areas clean, and walked the dogs as required.

We couldn't do much trail work as it rained a lot but Augustin fixed an electric heater and helped with some computer stuff. I taught him the basics of playing the ukulele. He was an enthusiastic cook and eager to help with anything.

We had a lovely stay with Emma, Tony, Daragh, Kian, Lola 🐶 and Bruno🐱 There kindness and warmth to invite us into there family home is something we deeply appreciate. from the off Emma was lovely, she picked us up from the bus stop and introduced us to where we would be staying in the house. Gave us a great choice of food, drinks and snacks in our own private kitchen. We had a beautiful room with an on suite for the winter time which we found cosy and warm. We had a great time playing with the children wether that was playing rugby in the garden, designing Christmas ornaments, woodworking, monopoly, baking or removing faulty extractor fans 😂 We spent had some good time's road tripping, visiting to local markets and traveling to hidden little town's that all had a beautiful individual character. The visit to the falls hotel is a must as the spa was great and very affordable too. the local GAA were very accommodating with Ash allowing him to use the pitch and running track for free as part of the local community. They even gave him great local recommendations when the pitch was too wet to play on, where else to visit to keep training. During our time off we felt very comfortable spending time with Emma and Tony just getting to know them on a personal level. we got a great understanding of what life is really like for a hard working family on the west coast of Ireland. Also felt very fortunate that they were willing to take us to and from many different places which we deeply appreciate. There are busses available too. However, they can be a bit of a struggle but with enough planning you're able to get to anywhere you would like to go:) Thankyou so much for welcoming us into your home and we appreciate you guys really helping us explore Spanish point and beyond. We wish you guys all the best in the future! (Forti et Fideli nihil difficile)

Inés and her 15 yo daughter Iris were a delight to host in my dog-project home. Ines is a joyful, positive, proactive person who is easy to be around. Iris is polite and reserved, and as she is studying online, spends quite some time on her computer. They both absolutely loved our dogs and spent loads of time loving on them and taking them for long walks. Excellent communication, responsible, clean and proactive. It was a joy to have them for 3 weeks.

“A beautiful smile that brings light, ease, and genuine connection wherever she goes.” Regina is a wonderful Workawayer with a positive attitude and a warm, genuine nature. She is a hard worker who willingly took on a variety of tasks, including landscaping projects, cabin cleaning and maintenance, and getting involved in the local community by helping with a fundraising event. She was always respectful, caring, and appreciative of the opportunity to experience a different way of life. Regina fit in beautifully, shared some memorable sunsets with us, and brought a great energy to our home. We highly recommend her to any future host and wish her all the best in her future adventures.

Lily is amazing. She stayed with us nearly 1 month and every day was a pleasure to have her around. She was our first workawayer to stay in our camper van rather than our apartment and it worked out really well. Despite it being a cold and wet December she made the camper super snug and cozy, complete with Christmas decorations - a real haven! Lily mainly worked outside: building a small fish pond, clearing leaves, shifting gravel, digging over and planting a couple of veg beds and weeding. On rainy days she worked inside, cleaning the terraces and windows - she even tackled my teenage son's bedroom! Although just 20 years old she is very mature, kind, responsible and caring. She worked hard and diligently both alongside us and by herself. She is also super strong! We could trust her totally to get on and do things, and do them right. During her spare time she swam in the pool (brrrr! but then she is Canadian!), went jogging, played badminton, visited nearby towns and played card games with my teenage kids who loved "hanging out" with her. It was an honour to host Lily and we would welcome her back into our home any day. I would highly recommend her to other workaway hosts.

I spent 4 weeks on Andventure Hill, and it was one of the best experiences of my life! I got to meet some amazing people with incredible life stories, both fellow workawayers and kind locals. Exploring Sicily with our host Christian, was truly unique since he always shared interesting insights and anecdotes with us, while we were on our travels, not to mention that our destinations were beutiful without exception. The work that we did with our fellow volunteers, was rewarding and eyeopening at the same time since we understood how much effort goes into a project like this. I felt really welcomed and am definetley planning on coming back in the future!

We spent a month here, what to say... Stephanie, Chris and Liam are amazing people! They gave us a lot of freedom to organize our work schedule and the tasks we did were without pressure. We had to clean the rooms, keep clean the property and welcome the guests. In the remaining time we did some DIY things and gardening and artistic projects. We met a lot of nice people and made great relationships. We interacted easily with the restaurant staff and the atmosphere was really cozy and friendly. We had the opportunity to talk with some local people and we enjoyed the time spent with them. The family made an effort to show us the surrounding attractions and even let us using their kayak that we used in the river, SO MUCH FUN! We have a lot of good memories in Dominical and, even if it's full of gringos, we learn about costa rica culture and we felt the local community.

Hui and Brandon are beautiful, intelligent and kind people and we are so grateful to them for choosing to stay with us and work in our garden. They both work very hard and bring a calm joy with them wherever they go. Thank you to them both for all the improvements they made, as well as keeping all areas very clean and tidy we will all miss them very much and wish them all things good for their future.

It was so special to host Lala and Dori for one month. We had such a great time together and now we all miss them very much! They were amazing with the kids and kept the house really clean, especially the kitchen. We also organized an event for children, did some winter activities and sauna, made good food... At first we hesitated to host two workawayers, but it turned out to be a very good decision! I can totally recommend to host them! They are very mature and speak english fluently and it was just fun to be with them! Word of warning: you might fall in love with them! 🥰🥰

Anna and Andrea were fabulous guests. They worked hard in the garden, they were communicative, kind and courteous, and they were fantastic with our kids. Our kids loved having them here. It was truly a pleasure to host them and I would recommend them to other hosts!

I stayed for about five weeks on Hernan’s land, and I can truly confirm that it was magical. The place is quite remote, there is no phone signal (although there is Wifi close to the camp) and very few people around, which made me feel deeply connected to nature. Living in such a camp is an incredible experience: making fires (among other things to heat the shower water), cooking on the fire, and checking and fixing the impressive water system that brings water down from the river to the camp through pipes. It was the freshest and best water I’ve ever tasted! Although life there is quite rustic, it really brings you back down to earth. After a few weeks, I felt incredibly calm. I could sit for hours just listening to the birds and watching condors (something which would have been very hard for me in my usual stressful everyday life). I also truly enjoyed the company of the dogs (Chakay, Blankita, Fideo, Mona, and Vaquita) and, of course, the cat Misha. The dogs are amazing and loved joining me for hikes or hanging out with me while I worked outside cleaning the land. The surrounding nature is breathtaking. Walking up a bit and looking over the valley, with all its different colors, the river, the rocks and the trees, is indescribable. And if you’re lucky, you’ll see condors (which happened to me many, many times). Hernan and Naty are very welcoming hosts. Unfortunately, I only met Hernan, as Naty was in Buenos Aires during my stay. However, Hernan is very flexible and easygoing. He made sure I felt comfortable and took great care of me. He also had many funny stories to share and certainly makes a great asado! The work on the land was very varied. I helped with house sitting while both Hernan and Naty were away, organizing the workshop, cleaning the land from pine needles and branches, watering fruit trees, cleaning the houses for tourists, and taking care of and feeding the dogs. One thing to keep in mind: the Patagonian sun is very strong, so a good hat for sun protection is definitely needed. To sum it up, this was my first Workaway experience, and I had an amazing time. I was very sad to leave in the end and I would love to come back at some point. Thank you, Hernan and Naty, for everything!
