I stayed two weeks with Lea, David and Adda (and Schmusi) and I had a wonderful time. The days were filled with olives, laughters and a lot of love. I am so grateful for this experience because from the first minuit I felt welcomed and like a part of their beautiful family. The harvest didn't feel that much like work. Even if we spent many hours in the trees trying to pick all the last olives we did it as a team and music, snacks and shared jokes kept us motivated. We were never expected to work more than our energy level told us to (but olive picking can be addictive so it was hard to stop sometimes ;)). It is very rare to meet people who are that opend and caring as Lea and David. Everything was clearly communicated and they always checked in with us how we felt and if we needed something. I am also glad I got to experience living in a yurt. :) Apart from that Órgiva is in a beautiful area between the mountains and there are a lot of things to do (next time I will try to be less sick so I can enjoy it more haha). I will for sure miss the fun atmosphere and the warmth I felt with you. Sending the biggest hugs and I hope we get to see not to far in the future! Olives, olives, olives and much love Luise <3

Mark helped us a lot with carpentry projects during his month+ stays (he has visited twice). He is good at what he does and is very kind. Mark is welcome back in the future, and if you have some carpentry work, Mark is your guy!

This was my first volunteer experience, and I couldn’t be more grateful. I encourage any traveler to come and visit. Bruno and his family are truly amazing , warm, carismatic people even though they have a lot of work to do, they always take the time to talk with you and get to know you. The place itself is peaceful, surrounded by nature, with outstanding views—almost like a paradise. I helped in the kitchen with Ana and Andrea, an incredibly well-organized and skilled team, and on the farm building a chicken coop. It was the perfect combination between discipline and enjoyment because I was able to learn from both worlds The volunteers felt like a family—cooking together, dancing, laughing. I’ll carry these memories in my heart. Hope to come back to this idyllic place under a full moon and firespot.

If you are looking for a chill island vibe, this is the place for you. I had an amazing time here, stayed for almost 3 weeks, then left to explore other parts of the island, but then came back for a few extra days. Jay is a very good host, always willing to help with anything, the work is very simple, everything is clear. During my stay, there were never any problems, only good energy. The hostel is very close to the beach and surf schools, so if youre planning to learn to surf, this is a good place to stay. Also, its right next to the bus stand so its easy to visit towns and beaches nearby. Thanks for everything, Jay, hope to see you again in the future!!

We had a wonderful time with Ian and Julia, where we spent two weeks helping with the olive harvest. The welcome and clear introduction, which reflected your years of experience as WA hosts, were particularly pleasant and enlightening. We even did our first grocery shopping together so we didn't miss a thing. The work we did was very enjoyable. We harvested the olives together, and Ian made sure we took regular breaks for coffee or tea. Also we were not allowed to work too long ;) We stayed in a nice room and were able to use your wonderful saltwater pool. Thank you, Ian, for all your efforts in practicing Spanish with us. Thank you, Julia, for preparing the delicious dishes for our communal meals

We stayed with Maria and Mathieu for three weeks. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the comfortable room and bathroom, Mathieu's cooking (with an exotic touch), and the lasagna and fruit yogurt (for special occasions) à la Maria. During the shared meals and lively conversations, your genuine interest in us was also evident. The work we did didn't feel like work; it was a pleasant shared activity. We were allowed to help with the olive harvest and then accompanied you to the olive oil factory. It was fascinating to see how the olives were pressed into a beautiful, clear, organic olive oil. Painting the walls in your beautiful house was also very enjoyable and gave us great satisfaction. Thanks to your tips, we got to know the area. Móra d'Ebre, Móra la Nova, the surrounding villages, and the Ebro Valley will always have a place in our hearts. Thank you, Maria and Mathieu; we would love to come back again.

I spent three months volunteering here and I cannot recommend this experience enough. Every day, Miss Thanh went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable, happy, and given every opportunity to create memories I will cherish forever. She, her family, and her teachers were exceptional hosts. They were attentive, their personal generosity was beyond what was expected, and they created an environment that became a life and a home for me. You will share incredible, fresh, home-cooked Vietnamese meals, which are prepared with love by the family, bond with every family member because of their warmth and kindness, and experience Vietnamese culture authentically and meaningfully - in a way travelling does not offer. I made lifelong friends and connections that will stay with me long after I left. Walking down the street, people greet you with warmth and genuine interest. Everyone you meet has the potential to become a friend who values you deeply, whether it’s the coffee shop man who remembers your order, the bánh mì man who greets you with a smile, the pastor at church who welcomes you like family. During my stay, I was fortunate to take part in unforgettable moments: celebrating Vietnamese Independence Day at school and in the city, being interviewed by Tuyên Quang TV, enjoying student performances on Teacher’s Day, attending a local wedding, sharing meals with the extended family, joining a football tournament and Women’s Day celebration, travelling to Hà Giang to donate essential school supplies after flooding, and so much more. We danced, sang, taught, and celebrated together—but the best part was the people themselves. The accommodation had everything needed to be comfortable, and the teaching experience was fantastic. The children are incredibly loving and enthusiastic, and the staff are supportive and welcoming. Miss Thanh is happy to help you arrange transport for unforgettable trips to Hà Giang, Na Hang, Ninh Binh and Hà Nội, places with breathtaking scenery and rich culture. My time at Lê Văn Tám was one of the most special periods of my life—an experience I feel truly lucky to have had. I hope to return one day to a host who became a sister and a community that became a second home.

If you are looking for a place to unwind your soul, share some great energy with amazing company, look no further! I spent a great time at Neil's place, we did a variety of tasks and Neil always made sure that it was a good workload with some home made lemonade breaks. Apart from doing work around the house we also did a couple yoga classes with some locals from town and went on an amazing trip up the mountains. Neil is a super generous host, I could make use of the yoga room whenever I would feel like it or borrow a mountainbike for some nice trips along the coast. This is an incredibly beautiful place, which is even more enriched by Neil himself, he is such an interesting, attentive and kind soul. I can highly recommend this host and workaway palce!

Although they don't talk a lot, communication with Levin & George was clear and efficient since the first moment. They came all the way to our place, where they spent a week helping with whatever we asked them to, including a hard, physical labour. Both guys are reliable, intelligent, respectful, and hard-working. Overall experience with them was very positive, we gladly recommend them! :)

Lisi stayed with us mainly as a house and pet-sitter for three weeks, of which she spent one week fully on her own. She took amazing care of our animals (rabbits, birds, cats). She showed great patience and calmness taming a street kitten that showed up a few weeks ago and we wanted to integrate into our household. She had a very good eye for our animals health, noticed and alerted us when she figured a change in our cats behaviour. That was extremely helpful and very ensuring on our side. She was also super clear, calm and trustworthy with our two dogs. Even our rather stubborn guardian dog understood that Lisi means what she says and felt very safe and comfy with her. She was also a great help for me and Jannis, supporting us in daily household routine and on building days. We built a clay arch together and she layed excellent first layers for a clay brick wall :) In the garden she helped me propagating a peach tree and planting a trazillion beans. We very much enjoyed her happy and chill company, and wish her many more surf and diving adventures in the future.

Benedetta and Riccardo were truly exceptional Workawayers. From the moment they arrived, they brought warmth, enthusiasm, and a wonderful spirit of collaboration. They were always ready to help, highly responsible, and incredibly respectful of the house and its rhythm. Their work was consistent and reliable, and they handled every task with care and attention. Beyond their help, they were a joy to have around—kind, considerate, and great company. Their positive energy made a real difference. I am sincerely grateful for their presence here and would welcome them back anytime. I highly recommend them to any future host.

I spent almost 3 weeks there this summer, I had a wonderful time and really enjoyed it! It was my first workaway experience and my first time going abroad alone (I'm from France). The whole family is really kind and makes sure you understand everything. You really feel included in the family as soon as you get there! It was really nice to feel trusted and to get the opportunity to take care of goats and horses. I mostly had to move the goats on morning and evening, feeding the horses and making sure that the mares and foals were good. I also had to water the garden. I could also help with cleaning the barn, weeding the garden, or helping with the wood. The house is nice, you have your own bedroom with a shared bathroom with the other workawayers, and you have lots and lots of food. If you like dogs, you will be served! There are a lot of dogs, all sizes, I am not even sure I've seen all of them! I also get to do some tourism, as Kim dropped me in Calgary for the Stampede and in Canmore for a weekend! I'm deeply thankful for everything I got to do! I really recommand this ranch and won't hesitate coming back if I get the chance. The ranch and its landscapes are wonderful, the family is really nice, and the experience is amazing!

We’ve just said goodbye to Maria after an eleven-day stay. She was an absolute pleasure to have around—fun, easy to spend time with, and she fitted in here beautifully. Her zest for life is truly refreshing. During her stay, she threw herself enthusiastically into helping with our 48 hens and 40-odd young chicks. Maria is a fast, focused worker, and each day she steadily worked through her list of gardening and house-cleaning tasks. We’re very grateful for her help; she really made the difference in getting our final summer vegetables planted. She was also happy to lend a hand with meal preparation. It was lovely that Maria genuinely appreciated our food—embracing not only my homemade kefir but also our buckwheat bread. Maria did end up leaving a little earlier than planned, but that was a mutual decision as she needed to be in the city for several days, which would have been difficult with one of our cars off the road. We wish her all the best and would welcome her back in a heartbeat.

Thank you for such kind words! We really enjoyed your company during the week. She was especially happy with the German lessons; you were a great teacher! Also, thank you for being so respectful of our house. I’m glad you enjoyed the breakfast and the local vibes of the city. You are a wonderful guest and a kind person. Our door is always open to you whenever you are in Istanbul. Wishing you all the best in your future travels!

I had a very easy and pleasant experience hosting Anne. She adapted to the rhythm of the house with ease and brought a calm, positive presence. One morning she simply said: “I’m going for a swim in the sea.” That moment made me genuinely happy — I immediately joined her, and we ended up having a fun and refreshing swim together. Anne took the tasks seriously and tried her best to complete them properly. She put great effort into sewing a blouse for me — and if the sewing machine hadn’t broken, it would have been finished perfectly. Still, she completed most of it, and only a small part remains. Overall, hosting Anne was comfortable, easy and enjoyable. I’m grateful for her contribution and I wish her beautiful travels ahead.

I spent 3 weeks at Janni's and Emma's place. They were both super welcoming and fun to be around. Emma was always enthusiastic to share her knowledge about natural building methods and permaculture. I had a variety of different tasks among which was also to take care of their many lovely animals. It was a joy to go on fun walks with the dogs, Toto and Ben, and to get all those cuddles in during some rainy days. Emma and Jannis did not just let me stay at their palce and help them with their projects, but also did their best to make me part of their life. We went surfing, did sports together went out for dinner and visited some hotsprings. Thank you for everything!
