My time with Kaitlyn, Tom, and Aubrey was truly unforgettable. I stayed with Kaitlyn from September until the end of November as a newly turned 18-year-old, and it was my first big solo trip. Within a week, it already felt like home. I was always welcomed into the community, and it genuinely felt like I became an extension of their family. We shared so many laughs, and I learned an incredible amount during my stay from fencing to childcare to western riding. I was so sad to leave! Thank you all so much for everything, and I hope to see you again in the spring.

Moritz is by far the best Workawayer I have ever had. No idea how he did all of it but he somehow completed everything I asked him to do in Lightspeed and precision. Everyone loved him around and we actually miss him now as he is gone. 5 Starz Brother man!!!

We felt so welcomed here, the work was exactly as described and super interesting. We worked on building an outdoor eco shower using natural materials, everything was really well explained and we really enjoyed the project.

Richi is an absolute Champion. We really had a good time. He is smart and very helpful with everything around house and garden. He completely deserves the best rating because he slowly makes everything work. TNX 😎 Dude

Sara and her Friend Eunate stayed with me for two weeks and I can highly recommend them. They are funny, hardworking people that are nice to have around plus they figured things out by themselves without having to show everything. 5 🌟 and a big hug 🤗 Eni & Till

I found the school to be an overall pleasant environment with gifted and caring teachers. You will most likely get along well with all the teachers. The students develop quite well in their English and many of the children are just plain adorable. Though Bučovice is a small city, it is not very far from Brno which is large and has lots to see. I’m sure this area is lovely in the spring and summertime. It’s a good place if you enjoy interacting with children and students learning a new language.

I stayed one week with Annabell & Janosch and really enjoyed myself. Annabell is a sweet and thoughtful person, we spent some nice afternoons together hiking in the forest and she took me to amazing restaurants for lunches and cooked really delicious dinner every night. Hanging out with Janosch was such a fun time, we made art and played in the garden. He is so smart, funny, and creative. Both Annabell and Janosch are such creative souls, it was so inspiring to be around them. I really feel that I learned so much about nutrition, nature, children, life. At the end of the week we all traveled to KL together and had such a fun weekend. I will always remember this Workaway experience so fondly, it was very unique. Thank you Annabell for welcoming me into your home and life <3

Such great volunteers and now friends! they are both very easy going, lovely and generous people. Only problem was they stay with us for just one week :( It was just a great pleasure to host them (they were so helpful and easy going that it didnt even feel like hosting) . They help us clear forest paths, working in Patogonia sun, wind and rain, cooked for us and took care of our cats whilst we were away. such great experience

I spent a month volunteering at the local school. It was truly a treasured experience. The town of Quillabamba is so charming. It has a great community and amenities and there are so many gorgeous places nearby. I loved the accommodations for the volunteers. There is a great common area and we all grew very close. Sometimes it did take a lot of energy working with the students but they are so welcoming. I enjoyed the variety of work and Jennifer is very accommodating in helping you find work that is a good fit.

Elizabeth was a special helper - in many ways. She reached out rather early to be a long-term housesitter, changed some of her plans (only natural when you have three months in a EU country and want to have quite a few different experiences, including having the family and friends over...) in between - but sticked to her original plans to have her first Workaway at my place. Communication was always good, easy and reliable! Once I picked her up at the train station it felt like picking up an old friend. She adapted to the project, circumstances and house rules so easily, was definitely part of the project, saw what needed to be done and had her hands on,got them dirty. She helped to finish the new pergola in front, calculate the wooden boards for the roof insulation (not so easy because she had to solve this problem with another helper who had different views of the matter), made six olive trees look like olive trees again, helped cleaning, cleaned the front bottom guttering, cooked, helped with the dishes... Me too I enjoyed our talks about experiences, views and more, enjoyed her spirituality. We only made it to one walk in the area, but still - I enjoyed. Unfortunately she got a bit sick (no problem for me), it was sad to see her unhealthy. She left as friend, invited to return at any time. Yes, I am hoping to be able to visit one day myself... Thank you so much and all the best!

Maria and Porter were great hosts! Good food, good times, and incredible views of the Columbia Gorge and Mount Adams. Animals were great, Hiccup the cow was a sweetheart, the dogs were hilarious. Lodging was awesome, neighbors were friendly -- anyone interested in exploring the Pacific Northwest? This is your place.

I deeply enjoyed and appreciated my time at the shelter with Silvia and Kadir. The location near Samaipata is stunning and very peaceful. The work I performed was varied and interesting: feeding and caring for the animals, gardening, some light landscaping. My hosts were very patient with me as I learned the daily routine of the shelter. I had many opportunities to practice my Spanish language skills while chatting with Kadir. And of course the animals themselves were amazing and I grew extremely attached to several of them during my time at the shelter. Near the end of my stay, I was able to assist with one of the spay campaigns that Silvia and Kadir periodically organize in Samaipata and the nearby villages. I learned a lot while participating in this campaign and saw firsthand the amazing work that my hosts are doing to improve the lives of the local animals! The cottage that I stayed in was rustic but very comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen where I could cook for myself in the evenings. Each week, I was able to take a mototaxi down to the nearby village to purchase fruit, grains, and other ingredients for my meals. My hosts provided a weekly stipend that helped to cover my meal expenses. Overall this was a very positive WorkAway experience and I felt that my volunteer work truly made a difference in the lives of the dogs and cars at the shelter. I highly recommend this WorkAway opportunity to anyone who enjoys working with animals and being in nature!

With Manuel and Brenda we had a truly wonderful time. They cared about the animals, the garden, the house, and also about the people. They are hardworking, had great ideas for the projects we worked on, they are tidy and organized, and they cooked some delicious meals for us. But above all, I enjoyed the perfect company I had to drink my mate with every morning and every afternoon. Hahaha I wish you the best, guys…

Yeliz is a truly kind person. Extremely sincere and friendly. She is calm, tidy, and meticulous. She is very adaptable and genuinely interested in the things going on around her. She was incredibly helpful and completed all tasks to my complete satisfaction. She was excellent with children, and she clearly had a wonderful time and gained valuable experience with my sister Kaja, which pleased me greatly. She helped me a lot with the horses, the garden, and the household chores. We had many good and interesting conversations. She also taught me some Turkish. Overall, I can wholeheartedly recommend Yeliz as a host. And I am still thankful and would be delighted if she were to come again in the future. My best wishes and a lots of Love to you,Yeliz! Big HUG! Nana

There are not enough words to describe our experience in Mar's house, maybe we can start saying that we were planning to be there for just 2 weeks and we ended up staying more than 1 month. This place it's like a HOME: warm, happy and cozy...not perfect, because perfect it's boring and aseptic, this house it's better than perfect because it's authentic! Mar and her daughter Jasmine went over and beyond to make sure we had a good experience: Meals were amazing and always fresh cooked, we got to try so many traditional Spanish/Valencian food and we were so lucky to taste such authentic dishes. Accomodation was cozy in our own private room with private bathroom. Work load was fair and Mar was always comprehensive of our needs and requests. We felt in love with the PERRITAS, the lovely lovely dogs that we took for walks and that we learned to love, each one with their specific personality and qualities. But the actual reason why this workaway is so special is because she treated us as friends, not just volunteers. She brought us around with her car to show us the beautiful area and village, she always gave us advice on what to do and when, thanks to her we made a lot of friends and we shared meals and memories with them. She listened to us when we needed to be listened and she spoke when we needed someone to spoke with. Her kindness is big and even if we had to leave her house earlier and go back to Italy for an emergency, she was not mad, even if we started a project in her house and we were not able to finish it. We will forever be grateful for this opportunity and we will surely come back, we have some vegetables to plant and some more dishes to try!! Hasta luego Jasmine, Mar, Mei, Mia, Iris e April :) Love you

:DD

Julien is everything you would want as help at your establishment. Never complained, took every job at heart and did it perfectly. He is really friendly and social, therefore communication was a delight. He got out of his way to help travelers in need. We would love to have him back anytime. Can't get any better than that, but if you change, stay the same. Love from the whole team

Staying with Þór was so nice, he's a very polite person and we have some similar views on certain things, I also hope he can get a picture of the moon and clouds stop getting in the way hahaha I felt very comfortable and enjoyed my time in Iceland. During this month of November there wasn't a lot of work to do so I helped a little with the garden and cooked dinner and some spanish food. People from the shop are also so nice and I hope I can come back soon! There's also a very cute cat that comes almost every morning to the house and loves to be around people. I'm so thankful for this experience! his movie collection is so cool

Matej was an amazing volunteer. He really came to help out and wanted to work a lot more than what was expected. Everytime he asked again if he could help more, and I felt almost guilty to accept because I'm not asking that many hours from volunteers, but he insisted that he was happy to help. And honestly I could use it in this moment, so I felt lucky to have him here. I had to leave to the mainland for 3 days and he was very responsable of taking care of my place and arranging things with some workers that was necessary. And he was very sweet to my pets, they already miss him!

This French couple stayed with us too briefly – we already miss them. They are very calm, easy-going and completely trustworthy. We left the house in their care and everything was perfect. At work they were eager to learn, quick, helpful and always in a good mood. Truly great volunteers, and we highly recommend them to any host.
