Montaine was a positive, motivated Workawayer. She really made efforts in improving her English, so it did improve. The work she has done was to our satisfaction. We also had a lot of nice and funny chats, and also our dogs Lucky and Lobo enjoyed her company. We wish Montaine lots of fun and success in her future adventures.

I had a really great time with Natasa, Emilio and Leda! I stayed with them for three weeks and it was nice talking to them. Leda is a really nice, extremely talented girl and I am honestly shocked at how good her German is despite starting to learn this language only two years ago. After a bit of time it was easy talking to Leda. I hope she will continue practicing her languages in the future. Until then I wish all three of them good luck for the future! I am glad I got to stay with you! Thank you! In case they continue to take in other Workawayers I can only recommend staying with them!

Une rencontre inoubliable et une aide précieuse ! Nous avons eu le bonheur d'accueillir Aina pendant un mois et ce fut une expérience exceptionnelle à tous points de vue. Dès son arrivée, elle s’est intégrée avec une aisance naturelle et une grande maturité. C’est une jeune femme rayonnante, curieuse et d'une grande gentillesse, avec qui il est passionnant d'échanger sur tous les sujets. Sur le plan du travail, nous avons été impressionnés par son énergie et sa détermination. Bien que les tâches en extérieur soient physiquement exigeantes à cette période de l'année, elle a fait preuve d'un courage exemplaire. Une mention spéciale pour sa maîtrise du tracteur : alors qu'elle pensait au départ ne jamais réussir à s'en servir, elle a persévéré avec brio et a fini par le maîtriser parfaitement ! Elle est à la fois : Très autonome : Elle comprend vite les consignes et prend des initiatives pertinentes. Efficace en équipe : C’est un vrai plaisir de collaborer avec elle, sa bonne humeur est communicative. Polyvalente : Elle s'adapte à toutes les missions avec le même enthousiasme. Sa volonté d'apprendre le français et de comprendre la culture française a rendu nos échanges encore plus riches. Elle a laissé une trace très positive dans notre famille (Agustin, Sylvie et Aymeric) et nous la remercions chaleureusement pour son aide précieuse et sa belle présence. Nous recommandons Aina à 100% ! Toute maison qui l'accueille aura beaucoup de chance. ¡Muchas gracias y hasta pronto!

There is a place in Saskatchewan in the middle of the prairie, and you think the place is surrounded by nothing!? That was my first thought when I came to Jackie’s, and it surprised me how wrong I was. I was lucky, because when I applied on Workaway, she already had three people booked for the time I wanted to stay with her. I told her that I wasn’t happy at all with my last host and that I had to find something different, otherwise I would have flown back home. So yes, even though she had three people booked, she said I could come and rescued me 🙈. Thank you for that! I would have missed so many experiences! The first two weeks were overwhelming. She drove to different lakes with us, I could see the Northern Lights two times, we went to Saskatoon, visited different farms and friends around her house, and she organized a peacock-themed tea party. We went to bingo, several Christmas fairs, even bull riding and dog sledding! Jackie is a funny, talkative, and extroverted person who always wants the best for you. And yes, she also is a little bit crazy, but in a good way 😂. If you need time for yourself in your room for calling friends and parents, or even if you just want to chill for a moment, you can do that—nobody will be mad. But Jackie really appreciates just yapping with each other. She tells you never-ending stories, and you won’t get bored. Even though there are no full days off, you will experience a lot, and I really loved and enjoyed doing the animal and other tasks around the house and yard, because the work gets appreciated. Jackie, thanks for everything during those six weeks in november and december. My Canada stay was so great because of you. 🫶🏻

I could not have asked for a better first workaway experience. What initially was meant to be a 3 week stay, turned into a 5 week one and I would not change a day of it! Andy is an incredible host - very chill, generous, and great craic 😌 The two dogs are angelic, and were great company, especially on the days when I was doing some painting outside at the villa. The work was a pleasure too - Pumba and Holly were easy to look after, and the painting was great fun, both at the restaurant and at the villa. I had plenty of free time to explore Frigiliana and the surrounding areas. I also got a chance to meet some incredible people that I will miss and will be looking forward to seeing again! Overall, I loved everything, from Frigiliana and it's natural beauty itself, to the dogs, to all the experiences and all the people I have met. Thank you, Andy, for the opportunity to volunteer at yours. I would highly recommend, and I'll be looking forward to being back!

It was a pleasure to meet Noemi. I stayed 5 days with a lot of privacy in a small apartment next to the garden and could help with painting a wall. We talked a lot, she took me to her school and to visit the river area of Quilmes...we became good friends! Quilmes is a quite residencial town near Buenos Aires, and you can easily reach it by train. Thank you Noemi, I hope to see you in Portugal one day!

Je viens de passer deux mois chez Isabelle, et c'était une expérience culturelle merveilleuse et incroyablement enrichissante! J'ai eu la chance de participer à la construction d'une mûrette pendant les vacances scolaires avec les amis et la famille d'Isabelle, qui m'ont tous accueillie à bras ouverts. De plus, j'ai partagé des moments vraiment précieux avec Isabelle et Tiel, autour de ma culture anglaise et de mes expériences de vie ! Tiel est un enfant très intelligent et nous avons pu partager de moments sympas ensemble en jouant de la musique, en cuisinant et en faisant du sport, ce qui était formidable. Je recommande vivement cette famille. Ils ont créé une ambiance chaleureuse et Isabelle m'a accueillie dans sa famille tout de suite.

Je me suis senti bien pendant le séjour chez Rosemarie. Elle a bien pris soin de moi. Le plus important pour moi c'est que j'ai fais connaissance avec une personne merveilleuse! J'oublierai jamais cette expérience :)

Irina is the most caring, sweet and energetic workawayer you could ever meet! We really enjoyed the time she spent with us, our kids just wanted to be with her all the time! She became part of the family almost instantly and we're very happy she's still going to be around for a while so that we can meet her and hear of all her wonderful adventures: whether it is running a marathon or writing a book, Irina is always full of great surprises and it is impossible to be bored around her ;)

Celine è stata un Angelo nel mio giardino 🙏 Una ragazza simpatica, educata e sempre rispettosa delle regole della casa. È stata sempre attenta e responsabile nei lavori del giardino, ha migliorato tanto l' aspetto del vivaio e intorno alla casa. Si è dedicata con amore ai miei gatti, soprattutto di Rakitikus 👍 Molto pratica e indipendente con i lavori delle piante, ora il mio giardino è più rigoglioso e bello ✌️🌴 È rimasta sola quando io ero in viaggio, è riuscita a gestire tutto con ottimi risultati e grazie all' amore che Celine mette in tutto quello che fa. È stato un vero piacere conoscerti e spero di vederti presto, grazie mille per tutto e buona fortuna, Dani 🙏 ❤️

Mahmoud volunteered with us for more than two months and was a great help during his stay. He is attentive, responsible, and genuinely cares about the place. He completed his tasks well and could be trusted to look after the hostel, even when we were not around. We truly appreciated his help and would gladly recommend him to other hosts.

Marie stayed with us for about 3 weeks and one week was house/pet sitting..I appreciated Marie's vibrant personality and willingness to learn. There were times when communication was difficult but we got there in the end. Thank you for the attention and engagement with my children Marie, they loved spending time with you. Also the care you showed especially to the chickens and my beloved Juni dog. Plus the jobs you dedicated yourself to : freeing the kiwi fruit!!! All the best on your travels in NZ. Your exuberant energy and wonderful sense of humour will serve you well in our country!

I stayed at Orakei for several months and loved every minute! Nik and Demelza are incredibly generous people and I was lucky enough to spend time with their kids as well, I miss everyone and can’t wait to visit again in the future !

It was a great week spent with Denise and Pete. They welcomed me warmly and gave me general cleaning tasks to do. They also gave me great advice on places to visit in the beautiful surrounding area, and Denise didn't hesitate to arrange transportation for me. I would love to come back to chat again with better English and discover other great spots =).

I had a really wonderful time staying with Mel and her family. From the first day, they made me feel very welcome and comfortable. Mel is such a kind, warm, and generous person, and the whole family is very nice and friendly. I really enjoyed helping out and spending time with everyone, especially the little ones, the atmosphere was relaxed and caring, and I always felt respected and appreciated. One of my favorite parts of the stay was Mel’s cooking — her meals were absolutely delicious, and I looked forward to them every day! I also really appreciate Mel sharing her plans for the farm and her future dreams with me. It was inspiring to hear her ideas and passion. I sincerely wish that her farm and dreams will come true. Thank you so much for this lovely experience. I’m truly grateful and would highly recommend this host to other Workawayers.

This was my first time as a workawayer. Visiting Sam and Sally was quite an experience, even though it was just a few days. This place is surrounded by beautiful nature and landscapes, mountains and of course hundreds of olive trees. It is so peaceful and quiet. You can actually see the stars at night. Heating up the house with fireplace. Sam and Sally offered me lunch daily, we had nice conversations. Otherwise I was preparing my own breakfast and dinner. There are also the animals: two dogs Borat and Djangoo, Spike the cat and the chickens. I was trying to make friends with Spike the cat, but unfortunately I got allergic reaction so we couldn’t be friends. I went for a walk in the nearby Nacimiento del Rio San Juan, a beatiful nature reserve. The olive harvest itself was an unforgettable experience. Thank you Sam and Sally!
