Anja and Domenico are lovely company for the cats who already miss play time and cuddles with them. Their reliable communication and sensitivity for the animals are very helpful when I’m away. They also fixed small things in the house and cleaned everything so well so it’s very pleasant for me to come back home after a long trip. We also spent short but quality time exchanging about cultures and trying new foods as a shared passion. Especially thanks to their welcoming of a new flatmate and helping her with the move. Their flexibility to do me a favor when I need and proactively offering help are very much appreciated. They are always welcomed to be back but the house is normally better in more dry season.

I would say Val was my perfect match. This woman is so kind, she accommodated me with short notice even just for 2 weeks. Aside from that she a very driven woman and inspiring. I mostly did gardening, house chores and accompanying her dog. It was a lovely experience, turns out I enjoy gardening a lot! Maxa her dog is very sweet and playful, I had a great time assisting Val, playing with her dog and maintaining her home. Thanks for the opportunity. I'm looking forward to meet you again.

This was the best workaway of my life. The location is perfect: in the centre of Attaouia, with good connections to Marrakesh, and pleanty of beautiful places to see and fun things to do. The students were really dedicated to learn and amazed by meeting a foreigner and the host was very friendly to me. The work was not overwhelming and I had plenty of free time. The prices in this town were so low that I barely spent money. I am certainly coming back to visit all the friends I made in this place!

Volunteering with Hector has been such an amazing and fulfilling experience. I truly consider it the best volunteer work I’ve done in South America, and I highly recommend it! Hector is not only a brilliant teacher and an amazing person, but he was also always available and helped me so much every time I needed. He became a great friend, and I’m truly grateful to him for giving me the opportunity to volunteer here in Taltal. I stayed with an absolutely wonderful host family, who I now consider my second family, and with whom I shared so many good memories. I had so much fun bonding with the students in the classroom, dancing salsa with Hector (he is a great dancer), and exploring this lovely town. I can’t wait to come back and visit all of you again :)

Chad was an absolute delight to have a house guest. He was proactive, hardworking, undemanding and pleasant to spend time - what more can you ask for? We would not hesitate to recommend Chad to anyone looking for a Workawayer - he was brilliant and we hope to stay in touch

We had a lovely time staying with Supriya and her family! Her kids, Shyamalii and Narayan are so much fun and great to spend time with. We really enjoyed learning lots of new card games and dances! Waffles the cat is also super cute and loves cuddles, if you are a cat lover you will love it here. The area is really magical. There are lots of beautiful walks close by, including one to a stunning waterfall we really enjoyed swimming in. We had the opportunity to get involved with some of the events happening in the Yoga Shala such as Somatic Healing which we really enjoyed. The work is different everyday and can vary from working outside in the garden to helping plan events and doing some social media. We found this great as theres always something new to learn! There's also fruit trees on the property and we loved being able to pick and eat the delicous oranges straight from the garden! Such a luxury! Supriya is a really open and generous person, we felt welcomed into the family straight away and felt very comfortable in her home! Thank you so much for the opportunity, we reccommend to anyone who loves nature, holistic practices and events and spending time in community!

We've petsitted the catgang for 2 weeks when Minh Thu was travelling. The cats were so lovely- we already miss them so much. It was funny how different they all are, but they all enjoyed a lots of cuddles😊 The house is located in a calm area but everything bus/ trains are easily reachable so we could do some day trips to Obidoś, Caldas da Rainha, Lisbon.... Also the little time we've spent with Minh Thu and her friend who moved in was so nice! She welcomed us with a lovely lunch and dinner and also a goodbye dinner with some products that she brought from her trip. We had the opportunity to learn more about some Asian countries but also about Portugal. The atmosphere was respectful, chill and with good communication. All in all, we had a nice time with the cats in Bombarral. Thank you so much for your hospitality and we wish you the best! Hopefully, see each other again! 🐾

A very nice team we had pleasure to receive at the farm during pre-kiwindima times ! With no kiwi 🥝 works, the were perfect in gardening and soft garden works. I only can recomend them to all hosts

What can I say? My experience here was truly inspiring and wonderful and will always stay in my heart. The place itself is amazing. You’re surrounded by a desert landscape that makes you feel like you’re on another planet. Around the house there are plenty of cozy spots where you can relax in the afternoons after work, so you never feel confined, there’s always a different corner to discover and enjoy. This place is perfect for anyone interested in natural building, sustainable living, and community life. I learned so much about bioconstruction through hands-on projects, and Santiago is always there to teach, guide, and share his knowledge. He’s a very inspiring person and genuinely passionate about what he does. He also organizes weekend tours, such as different hikes and other activities, which is great because it gives you the opportunity to discover many beautiful places with him, and he’s an excellent guide. Each day started with a group stretching session, which created a beautiful sense of connection and set a positive tone for the work ahead. Afterward, Santiago would ask what each of us preferred to work on for the day, allowing everyone to contribute in a way that felt best with their interests. Another special thing I experienced here is living like in a community. We cooked in turns and always ate together, allowing to create moments of sharing. Especially the pizza night brought everyone together and created moments of joy and connection. Apart from cooking, there are other tasks like washing dishes or cleaning, which are done in turns. It’s nice because you get a different task each day, and it allows that everyone contributes with something . If you’re looking for a Workaway that combines meaningful work, learning opportunities, and a strong communal spirit, I couldn’t recommend this place more. It’s an inspiring environment that stays with you long after you leave.

Our time with Levi and Fabri was a dream! We had been traveling for a few months and arriving at their beautiful home, with a cosy fireplace, incredible view and delicious food was more than we could have hoped for. The work was fun and easy, we helped them split the remaining wood for the winter. They always came to check on us and make sure we were not working overtime, and the expectations and tasks were always explained clearly and without judgement. The movies every night were a fun time to be together and laugh (or cry, depending on the film!). These are hosts that truly open their homes and their hearts to their guests and it is clear that they were made to do this!

Robin & Ann were very sweet, kind, calm, assertive in their work, experienced in garden work and being very creative in solution making on my land. They really did so much in such little time and worked like a great team. They helped me a lot and were very nice to have around. So I would’ve loved to have them stay longer here!

It was a very nice experience to have Aleena with us during last kiwindima . With all skills necessary to farm works, Aleena was the perfect Workawyer to motivate all the team with lot of joy and sensitivity . Thanks a lot for your presence this year Aleena!

John and Jen were perfect hosts. The accommodation was clean with everything you need provided, not to mention the fabulous views. The work itself was very reasonable, and the communication was clear on what needed to be done and how to do it. All tools were provided to make everything a breeze. I personally love gardening, so getting out in the mountains every morning was absolute bliss. Their location is very convenient about 35 minutes to Ballarat and 12 minutes to Daylesford, and if you drive an hour in any direction you’ll come across two or three towns with plenty to see. The meals provided were fresh and healthy, with something different every day. Sometimes we spent the afternoons on the balcony while the sun went down with a glass of wine, having some laughs, and other times we put down the movie screen and watched a film. John and Jen were very respectful of your privacy and always willing to socialise or give you space. I feel like I made some friends in this process, and I hope to visit again in the near future. You guys were fantastic! thank you for an amazing time!

Adaptarse a nuestra vida cotidiana off the grid no es facil y ellos lo han hecho. Son una pareja joven, entusiasta, y muy dispuesta a colaborar e integrarse con el dia a dia de un proyecto. Y no le hacen asco a las tareas que demandan esfuerzo. Ademas por su propia cuenta nos han dado muchas ideas de juegos para nuestras cabras, las cuales luego hemos implementado juntos. ¡Ha sido un placer trabajar y compartir este tiempo con ellos!

Unique, fun and worthwhile experience. Did lots of one on one conversations with the students to improve their English. Lessons were more unstructured but we enjoyed having to think on our feet and the students were all lovely. The accommodation provided is in a gated community with a swimming pool, gym and a nice collection of shops. Raul is very communicative and stocks the accommodation with lots of food, and he is always on hand to help and support with any problems that you have. He was very attentive and ensured that we had everything we needed. Thank you!

Ya saben que tienen un lugar seguro en la ciudad de Oaxaca, México. Los esperamos con los brazos abiertos y les deseamos lo mejor en sus futuros viajes. Espero poder subir en estos días algo de su hermoso trabajo que hicieron en el hostel. (recomendados para el área de murales y pintura!!)

I truly enjoyed hosting Karla. She has a calm, discreet, and serene presence, and shows a remarkable level of maturity. During her stay, she helped me collect and store an enormous amount of firewood — always motivated and ready to load “just one more trailer”! Karla is also a skilled baker. She even managed to revive the sourdough starter I had neglected and treated us to delicious homemade bread. I found in Karla a very reliable young woman, committed to seeing every task and every experience through. I warmly recommend her to any future host — she will bring dedication, serenity, and genuine talent to your home.

My short stay at Clare's place was truly a lovely experience. Her property is beautiful with horses, bees, and such lucious gardens. I was lucky enough to share this experience with a few other Workswayers and I think we had a productive week! The work varried, sometimes working alone and sometimes in teams. Whether it was helping out with the horses, garden, or tidying up the house, Clare always showed appreciation for our work. She is super passionate about her property and loves to teach others about any part of it! You won't be too far from town, a lovely beach, and a short (but amazing) bush hike. I would recommend Clare's for both couples and solo travelers as Clare tries to host more than 1 Workawayer at a time, so you will most likely make some friends during your stay. It is a great spot if you are looking to be out of the city in a peaceful environment. I would gladly stay with Clare again!

Diana is an absolutely delightful person — always smiling, full of humor, and truly a joy to have around. We shared so many laughs together, and after just a few days it felt as if we had been friends for years. During her stay, she helped me with various garden maintenance tasks and always did so with positivity and great energy. Her cheerful attitude made every moment enjoyable. I warmly recommend Diana to any future host. She will bring kindness, enthusiasm, and a wonderful spirit to your home.
