Thank you so much for this absolutely lovely review! It truly makes our day to read about the positive experience you had with us. Your assistance was invaluable to us. We want to specifically highlight your creativity and proactive attitude. It was amazing how you didn't wait for tasks to be assigned but simply jumped in to help wherever needed, whether it was teaching the kids, helping with our Instagram, or optimizing the website. You made a real difference here. The energy you brought to the teaching sessions was fantastic—the children truly loved learning from you! The fact that you continued to work on the Airbnb listing and website even after your stay speaks volumes about your commitment. Thank you for making our transition to a smoother process! We're delighted to hear you enjoyed the peace, the local culture, and the bike rides. Please remember that our door is always open for you. Wishing you the best on your future travels! P.S. Tiger sends his purrs! 😻 (The cat, not the car! 😉)

Thank you so much dear Erin for being part of my family. It was such a pleasure to have you in our home. We shared so many lovely, rich experience together and learnt a lot from each others. She is smart, thoughtful and very friendly. It was our pleasure to host her, She was so respectful, kind and calm. She helped me a lot in my kitchen, my shoppings in Bikaner, with animals, taking care of the kids...teaching them English etc. She tried to help milking cows and even went kite flying with our son. She is always ready for learning new skills and catches new things very quickly. We can definately recommend her to any host for sure. Erin, Wishing you all the best for the rest of your traveling, You are always welcome back in our home, Thank you for your company ! Love, Nandini

They were amazing, followed instructions to the T. With the arrival of 2 new calves, one who jumped gates and fences. When I found myself at 1am in the morning trying to get him back in, these two wonderful people come out to help. They weren't asked, they come out regardless if it was their work hours or not. I am very grateful for their caring attitude towards myself and the animals. My dogs loved them as did they sheep. They are hard working, it was a really joy to host them.

Bauke was a delight to have stay. She loved cooking vegetarian food and baking for us so I got to enjoy some delicious Austrian meals and pastry. Bauke is responsible, attending to her tasks as required. I wish her well for the rest of her travels.

This was one of the best workaways I have ever done. Shamser's home in Gaunshahar is incredibly accommodating, and sat in a very beautiful place to spend time for a few weeks. There was a very clear organizational system for the volunteers ro understand what to do and when. The work we did always felt productive to some degree, and was extremely fair in return for the great hospitality we received. Gaunshahar is small but still a fun place to explore, with little things to do here and there. The children at the school are also very friendly, and always very inquisitive and interesting to teach and play with. I would highly recommend staying here.

We had a great and memorable time with Cole. Food was great and plentiful, the working hours fair and clearly communicated. You share the house with 3 charmingly silly border collies who seem to really love having new people over. In regards to the work we really enjoyed working with Cole on the farm. She seems to have found a good balance between trusting people with independent tasks/animal care and still giving you enough instructions to be able to comfortably handle all of the work. Even on the more unpredictable days (which are of course unavoidable on a farm) the communication and teamwork remained excellent. Handling and interacting with the sheep was a joy and herding back the fence jumping calves will remain a core memory of our nz trip. On top of that Cole is a wonderful person. We've had many great conversations over the course of the week, spent some very pleasant evenings watching tv together and overall felt very welcome at her place.

I was very lucky to have a chance to be with this special family before I leave Canada. I got a new perspective on life from amazing people. At first I was quite nervous because it was my first time taking care of kids, but Ben and Thai were super easygoing and friendly that I felt like home very soon. I also thank Rung, the other amazing workawayer who helped me a lot, and cooked delicious vegetarian dishes. I spent most of time with Anton, and he is the best 5 year old kid I've ever met. I really enjoyed spending time with him, and I miss his lovely smile. Seb was mostly crying for mom, but he made me realize the the joy of cradling a baby. I also had a chance to see kids playing hockey and to skate with them. Such a Canadian experience! I can't wait to see them again in a few years somewhere in the world!

Staying at tokushima shelter was a wonderful expérience. We walked and took care of those lovely dogs 5 days per week, 4/5hours a day and this was just perfect. Suzan and Hitoshi are two lovely persons too, they make sure everything is all right and they drive you back and forth between the volonteer's house and the dog shelter (they also have cat's we spent great time with). The accommodation is a bit dark and the kitchen a bit small but it has everything you need and the street is quiet, you can find a supermarket at 15 minutes walking and there is bicycles at the house. Spécial message for Suzu (the dog that stay with us at the house): Zoe and I miss you so much. Thank you for everything Suzan and Hitoshi <3

I had a great week here. The kids are very sweet and curious about other cultures. It felt like more of a cultural exchange/ practicing English. We still did a bit of teaching in schools though. I felt very welcomed and comfortable and would highly reccomend this workaway!

I had an amazing week here with Nandini and Babu. They were very kind and communicative people. I learned so much about Indian culture and the town they live in is quite peaceful. They made my introduction and first impression of India very positive and I will never forget the lessons, cooking, and love that I learned being here. Thank you guys for a wonderful week. :)

We had a fantastic experience with Sophie! She is an incredibly nice person who fits right in. She is full of energy and enthusiasm, which made her a great help. It’s obvious that she loves kids by nature. She connected with them instantly.

Marc was an amazing "Work Awayer" - his main project, transforming our caravan - was done magnificently. We (myself and visitors) are stunned, how beautiful Marc has rebuilt the caravan. Marc was very helpful and handy with any other tasks. His personality is simply described: a wonderful, nice guy. We wish Marc the best for his future travel and hopefully see him again soon in the south west of Australia.

My stay with Bruno and Clara has been the most beautiful two weeks of my trip so far! The place is incredible, the shared space is very cozy, the kitchen has everything you need to cook your food and the bedrooms are a bit essential but quite comfy. The refugio is located in the woods close to El Bolsón, the village is around 5 km away but very easily accessible, hitchhiking or booking a taxi from there. Also, there are a lot of sweet animals in the property, including sheep and chickens, with a special mention of honor for Flo and Feli, that rapidly became two of my favourite doggies in the world. Bruno and Clarita are the best hosts, quite understanding and very flexible with the timelines and the work. Their company is so pleasant and time passes by so fast having them around. About the work we carried on there, we helped to build a fence in the beautiful garden of the property and also to finish some of the walls of the refugio. We had so much fun while doing that and we got a proper proportion of time off. Bruno and Clara also offered us a horse ride in the forest, the experience was great! In conclusion: this place, strongly recommended. Thanks again, Clarita and Bruno. See you soon!

It’s honestly hard to put into words what I found here. If you’re searching for a calm, authentic place full of hidden cafés, peaceful temples, beautiful bike paths, cheap restaurants, amazing views, and of course a lovely car named Tiger… this is absolutely your place. Pantila, Mae Ni and Buddy are truly incredible hosts. They’re kind, caring, funny and they make you feel like part of their team from the very first moment. We went to several local markets together, tried on traditional Thai dresses, explored tiny restaurants only locals know about, even joined a cooking class. Every day felt like a new little adventure. The room is super cozy. You’ll share it with three others, which makes it feel like one big pajama-party sleepover (boys and girls are separated). The kitchen has everything you need..just keep in mind you’ll need to buy your own groceries. Work-wise: Most tasks are about teaching, which is honestly so much fun..the kids are adorable and full of energy. I also had the opportunity to help with the website, bnb and Instagram content. If you’re proactive, you can get creative in almost anything. Don’t wait for tasks bring your ideas and they’ll support you! There’s also some general cleaning, but it’s light and shared. My personal highlight was simply driving around on the bike, exploring the area and connecting with all the amazing, unique people who came through the place. After two weeks, it felt like home and leaving was genuinely hard. Thank you for being a home for this beautiful chapter of my journey. I’ll carry it with me for a long time. 💛🏡✨

I had a really positive experience with this Workaway. Despite a very difficult situation due to a natural disaster, I always felt safe, supported, and well taken care of. The host and teachers were incredibly kind, helpful, and made sure I wasn’t alone during a challenging time. I’m very grateful for how everything was handled and for the sense of community and security they provided. The teaching was also a meaningful experience. The students were motivated and kind, and I really enjoyed being in the classroom. Thank you for the experience.⭐️⭐️

Staying Kirsten was my first experience as a workaway and I wouldn’t know how the next places can top this experience. I only stayed for two weeks but i could have stayed for longer. There was so much to do and to see! Kirsten herself is a wonderful person- everybody can learn from her!

Christopher came to us at one of the hardest—and most important—moments for our family. He has great physical fitness and strength, which helped us complete a lot of heavy work. And despite his big physical presence, he turned out to be incredibly gentle and kind-hearted. It was amazing to see how warmly he treated the chickens, sheep, and cats—and how quickly they accepted him as a friend. Chris showed real interest in Kazakh culture, learned a few Kazakh words, and immediately started practicing them with people he met around the village. Despite the age difference (I’m 53 and he’s 23), we discovered that we have a lot in common. We both love songs from the seventies and we’re both interested in financial planning. I even asked him for financial advice a few times. We saw huge potential in him—potential that hasn’t yet been fully discovered or used. Chris, thank you so much for your hard work and for all the great conversations. Take care of yourself, and good luck on your journey!

I had an amazing stay with Jhon and his family! The classes were small and intimate, and everyone behaved really nicely. The city has everything you need: a gym, good coffee, bars, and shopping opportunities. In the house, you get all your needs met. You get food, laundry, a private room, and time to socialise with the family (and the dogs and cats!). In the kitchen you'll find Anna, the final boss of Spanish learning-she's the ultimate practice partner.

My workaway experience at the Hostel was great for many reasons. The work was not difficult, there were other volunteers from all over to spend time with, and they are located in Calendaria - with lots of food options and things to do.
