    Description

    Hello there,
We are a family of five, living in Te Anau, New Zealand. Mum (Dawn 45) & Dad (Dean 53) & our girls Charlotte,11 years, Sophia, 9 years, and Lucy, 8 years old. The girls all attend school Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:15pm. Most days at least one of them will have an after school activity to go to. I am a Primary School teacher and my husband is a Possumer / Deer Hunter. We also have four big dogs and 2 cats so you will need to love animals!
We live in a 4 bedroom family home with flower and vegetable garden.

We would love to welcome you into our family home on the edge of the Fiordland National Park.

  • Help

    Help

Your work will be as a support for us in our home by:
    - helping to take care of our children (who are pretty independent anyway). It would be mainly getting them to school if needed and to after school activities.
    - helping with daily light housework duties eg hanging out washing, loading and emptying dishwasher
    - weekly housework duties eg vacuming and mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms & toilets, changing beds
    - some meal preparation and possibly cooking for our family meal Monday - Thursday nights

Hours of work would need to have some flexibility around them but may look mostly like this:

    Mornings 8:30 - 10am
    Afternoons 3 - 5:30pm

You would have time in your day to enjoy Te Anau and weekends free to explore our beautiful area.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

We would provide our lovely 4 berth Zephyr caravan, named Freddie, as your accomodation so you would be able to enjoy your own space. Freddie has electricity, simple cooking equipment eg jug & toaster. There is a gas cooker but we’d prefer you join us with our family meals. There is electrical heating so you’ll be warm and cosy. You would be required to still use our indoor toilet and bathroom facilities.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

We live in Te Anau and our home is walking distance to the lake and shops. As we live on the edge of the Fiordland National Park there are plenty of walking tracks and tramps for you to do. Te Anau is on the road to Milford Sound so if you have your own transport you can go and visit there too.
