Description
Ours is a seasonal business consisting of a Cafe and RV Campground that opens in late May and runs through the second week of September. This is our 4th year running it. Goals when we purchased it included meeting more people who share our love of the wilderness and all the amazing things this state has to offer. Getting to do that each Summer
is something we love and enjoy sharing with others. This year there may be some construction opportunities also as we look to develop several acres we own immediately adjacent to the RV Park.Types of help and learning opportunities

The job is at a cafe and popular RV campground on the West Glenn Highway in rural part of Alaska. It is a frequent stop for international tourism because of its proximity to the Matanusca Glacier and overall beautiful location. Our visitors range from native Alaskans, people from the lower 48 states, Canada and all over the world. It is a ruggedly beautiful location with a Dall sheep preserve in the mountains across the street. Moose sightings are frequent. Lodging is provided and an hourly rate commensurate with experience will be paid, plus tips.

Internet access
Limited internet access
We have pets
We are smokers
Can host families
Can host digital nomads
We can host digital nomads. We have a pretty reliable internet connection now since adding a fiber connect to the facility. That being said we're in a very rural location in the mountains and occasionally still are subject to a power outage which can affect the internet.
Space for parking camper vans
No charge
Can possibly accept pets
This is somewhat limited and based on some discussion. We've had a couple people that have stayed and worked with us who had a dog and it worked ok to good. We may be bringing ours up this Summer also which could limit the number of additional dogs we could accommodate comfortably. Smaller cage type pets could be fine.
How many Workawayers can stay?
More than two
Hours expected
35-40 hours a week.
