Description
I am a social entrepreneur who has expanded my lovely 2 story house (plus outdoor tiny room made from recycled materials) into a great co-sharing space to accommodate an ongoing community of 3-4 workaways.
Our work is focused on bringing positive social change, well-being and peer coaching in healthcare, communities and schools.
Currently we really need help with:
** *Graphic designer with good indesign skills to work on the Wellness activity books.
An editor/writer who is interested in health and wellness education.
I also appreciate people with skills in ebook creation & online education skills
I am very collaborative and we are an expanding social enterprise very open to the ideas and skills that people bring with them.
Here are a few key areas in case you fit the description for any one or more of these:
BOOKS & DESIGN
1. Someone with excellent english writing skills, with a humourous edge. And editing skills for the books on coaching health and wellness.
2.Design skills using Adobe tools (in Design).
3. IT, Web development and online marketing skills
3. Turning educational resources and books into ebooks for online learning.
THE HOME
Painting, house maintenance, garden maintenance and organisation skills
We are an open, supportive, innovation loving, artistic and sometimes musical co-sharing community.
We dumpster dive veggies and fruit each week, and high quality sourdough bread. I eat whole food and am gluten free but you are welcome to be normal!
OTHER PLACES TO WORK
We like people to connect and learn from each other about traveling Australia and doing farm work for extending visa. We have dreams of developing our current living model into an international nomad network where we can share the skills you will learn here! Here are two other Workaway like options:
1. KINGLAKE, VICTORIA - Daryl, whose house was burnt during the Black Saturday fires 10 years ago, is building an awesome earthship in Kinglake - an hour from here. Any one with high level building skills are valued.
2. My friend in RICHMOND, SAN FRANCISCO is a shareholder activist who needs organisational, IT and research support, if you want to go there as part of your workaway world tour.
We encourage personal wellness in our home in terms of your lifestyle and open channels of communication. We encourage drug and smoke free lifestyle, at least inside the home, but you are more than welcome to overdose on dark chocolate. I also generally prefer to be alcohol free, except for special occasions... (except when the French and Italians are here ... wine with every meal seems essential :)
We have been fortunate to have so many wonderful applying! My apologies if I don't respond as time is not my friend at this time, and we are very specific in our needs. I will definitely respond if you fit our needs and we have space at the time.

Meet people from all around the world who also live here and get oriented to life for travellers in Australia. I am a health and wellness coach so supportive of all my workaways and their interests and vision of their future. Supporting people to become health and welness coaches and educators if they have a health care background.
