    Description

This is a beautiful quinta, surrounded by nature, its a magical hideaway with a calming energy. Held in a green leafy valley, while only 4km to the nearest town, it feels a million miles away. Secluded, surrounded by trees and wildlife.

We moved here in June 2018 having relocated to Portugal after much travel and exploration. The farm has a large main house, two small cottages and stables which have been transformed over the last year. We also have a converted yoga shala, a hillside yoga deck and our summer glamping tents.

We're a down to earth couple in their late 30's who love healthy organic food, travel and the occasional glass of wine. We're pretty introverted but enjoy social moments and hosting gatherings for our community. Our intention is that together with the people we live and collaborate with, we live in a harmonious environment and cultivate a deeper connection with Nature inside and out. And enjoy ourselves along the way.

We are both trained in holistic therapies such as acupuncture, yoga and qi gong and hosted workshops around the world. We are inspired by beautiful art, love music, dancing, BBQ's with friends and being by the sea. We wanted to create a beautiful space that nurtures and inspires us to reconnect with Nature.

Our luscious land and retreat venue is located 30 minutes north of Lisbon, near Mafra. It is just 15 minutes drive from the famous Ericeira surf beaches nevertheless we are remote - sometimes it feels like a bubble!

We started a permaculture project here, with composting, an edible garden and cultivating fruit trees which we need support from workaways with. All the food is for personal consumption and you're welcome to grow your own with us too. We grow herbs, tomatoes, chard, kale, beans, cucumbers and squash in abundance. We also have apple, pear, figs, peaches, pomegranates, olives and plum trees.

Our neighbours are a Wolf Sanctuary and a National Park (Tapeda de Mafra) which are definitely worth visiting.

We tend to about 3 hectares and are surrounded by fruit trees and cork in a beautiful secluded valley. Everyone who visits finds it magical, witnessing deer, owls and hearing the sounds of wolf's at night adds to ambience of this special spot.

You can enjoy being bathed in nature. Listen to the wolves at night, hear the owls and enjoy the wildlife.

You can dive deeper on a transformational experience, connecting with nature and spirituality as we also share our practices, library and give you access to the shala for your own practice.

You may be witnesses and participants in some of the activities and intention setting ceremonies we occasionally host for our community such as Temascal sweat-lodge.

You can enjoy stunning sunsets on the beach, swimming, surfing and kayaking on the ocean just round the corner.

Generally enjoy living purposefully in a nurturing environment at a great place, with great food and really good vibes.

We are looking for a reliable, emotionally mature, solution focused and grounded couple to stay & support our beautiful sanctuary this May. Helping us plant & tend to the garden

Help us deal with a range of different projects of all sizes at our farm on a weekly basis tending to the lands, weeding, planting and harvesting, curating beauty while living a more off-grid lifestyle in tune with nature.

Role would suit a couple who wish to live close to nature and be a part of a project in service to the evolution of consciousness and well-being.

We are a ‘for purpose’ family run organisation creating a space that serves healing and transformation.

The people we attract are loving and progressive, open-minded and kind hearted.

We have a down to Earth attitude and empower our team to share their gifts and what they enjoy.

We like to create a culture of kindness, cultivating service and honesty along with offering practices such as yoga and meditation where we can. We are situated at the end of a dirt track immersed in Nature. Nevertheless, the beach is only a 15 minute drive away and there a beautiful walks in the area.

On a day to day help taking care of the garden, watering, weeding, harvesting, clearing the land, painting & chopping fire wood & feeding our cat Bodhi.

The help can be physical and is equally satisfying as you watch the space transform. Consistently we find, you get out of it what you put in.

We may need assistance maintaining our edible garden, planting, cleaning and beautifying the space, supporting our orchard.

So we are looking for a couple who are clean, tidy, responsible, self-motivated, enthusiastic and kind.

We value & require transparency, compassionate communication & self-responsibility & as a space for retreat & sanctuary a kind-hearted energy is well suited.

We prefer to work with people with previous experience (references needed), self motivated, with a good work ethic & positive attitude.
