  San Gil is at the heart of the department of Santender known for its rich history, diverse flora and fauna, and “extreme” sports. It’s a place where, year after year, thousands of tourists from all over the world come to escape the day-to-day routine in search of both fun and relaxation.
  
  We’ve opened the doors of our hostel to volunteers so they can have an opportunity to experience the beauty and magic of this special place. On your free time, we can recommend once-in-a-lifetime adventures like rafting, canyoning, ziplining, and paragliding to name a few. We can also give you tips on affordable day trips or point you in the direction of some great local restaurants. And of course, you can enjoy the hostel where we’ve got refreshments, games, TV, wi-fi, and plenty of space to chill.

  We’re looking for energetic, upbeat people who enjoy serving others, whether it’s helping with check-ins, teaching English, working on social media, or supporting our staff with their various responsibilities. Hospitality experience is definitely a plus.
  
  The volunteer work schedule will vary depending on the task, so we appreciate your flexibility and ask that you let us know if you have any particular needs in return.

  Accommodation

  In exchange for volunteering, the hostel offers many benefits. You’ll sleep well on an orthopedic mattress in one of our shared spaces along with other volunteers and guests. Each morning, you can choose from a few healthy breakfast options, and in your free time, you can hang out on the rooftop garden, nap in one of the hammocks, soak in the private pool, play ping pong or darts, catch up on email in one of several covered areas, and freshen up - hot shower anyone? - in one of our many bathrooms.
