Description
Do you want to experince the rural Spain? You're welcome to our village and our family. We are María Jesús and Esteban, a retired cople living in a small village one hour from Madrid willing to share our language and culture in exchange of some help around the house and garden where we grow a lot of vegestables. We have a dog (Naga) that needs to be walked every day and a few cats (Alfonsina, Pelusa, Cuchurruchu, Pin, Ratón and Blanco), some chickens and bees.
There is plenty of nature around to conect or disconect, a small shop and a big restaurant one km away and a bar in the village where locals gather every afternoon to play carts and chat. There are just a few people in the village, but they're friendly and we will introduce you to them if you wiish. We also have a free area to play padel, football or basketball. They're also building a coworking area. You can also join a free pilates lesson on Fridays or some other activities that may come out during the summer.
We usually stay in the village, but we go to Guadalajara sometimes to do some groceries or to Madrid for doctor appointments or visit some friends or family. Every Saturday we usually go to our other village which is a bit bigger than this one to meet some friends and family. And you'll be more than welcome to join us on any of those trips.Types of help and learning opportunities

You will be part of the community from the first day.
If you're willing to learn about the traditional life in Spain you could learn some cart games and play and chat with the locals every afternoon and evenig. You will be treated as part of the family and included in every actiivity we may do in the family or in the village where you can join pilates lessons, bbq, padel plays among other things.
You will get an inmersion in the culture (food, traditions...) and the language. If you want to learn Spanish that's a perfect place.
We expect you to be open and share about your culture and/or language as we'll do, but mainly to be respectfull and kind.Projects involving children

Help
Walking Naga every day (5 days a week) will be a must, if possible twice. She can walk on the lead sometimes, but she mainly goes without it, since it's a very save place in terms of cars. So you have to loe walking and dogs.
Helping in the house might be another activity. Usually we manage quite wel, but we could use some help cleaning, cooking and doing some other more creative or diy projects.
We would also like some hep in the garden depending on the season, but there is always something going on since we grow plenty of vegestables and have some fruit trees. Then we usually make preserves with them, mainly duruing the summer.
It's long time I don't, but I used to speak French, so it would be really nice to speak some French with you as part of the help.Languages
