    Description

Hi! I am on a 165 acres on a pristine mountain vale in southern BC. My focus is on creating a permaculture orchard & farm as well as offering nurturing earth based healing experiences with friends. We are focused on developing the permaculture orchard & farm with animals (goats, chickens & kittens (cattery) so far), along with a romantic glamping venture and deep nature & soul connecting practices. We will be offering workshops and eco/ expressive art camps on weekends during July. We will need someone to take on being host to romantic glamping holiday guests.

During the week there is much solitude and opportunity for personal growth and time in nature and on weekends often friends of the farm come out so it is more socially focused. We share in community meals, mostly outdoors under our pergola. We have an artisan agri building with a common kitchen and hang out area with games, musical instruments, turkish daybeds with cushions & throws. We have cell service and some wifi access.

We also have an outdoor kitchen, a Nordic spa with sauna, wood-fired hot tub, cold plunge, pond pool & beach, a fire circle gathering area, hammock plantation in the trees (on hot afternoons we siesta there after lunch). We have 165 acres of beautiful nature surrounding us so much opportunity for hiking, forest bathing and contemplation.

There is a camping area (bring your tent and camping gear or stay in our tents) in the trees or meadow by creek, an outdoor tub in aspen grove, and a showerhouse with a changeroom & sink. Mostly open air and glorious! We have a large insulated yurt-like bell tent with a woodstove for workaways (2 max in this space).

We have a stretch/ yoga or short mindfulness meditation every morning during the summer and on weekends (the rest of the year) and then a quick check in circle and make a work plan for the day. You may join in with what projects most suits or interests you. Work projects range from gardening, building fences, feeding animals, milking (electric milker) goats & making yogurt & cheese , cooking and meal prep & clean up, and general maintenance. Also, hosting romantic glamping holiday guests, heating up sauna & hot-tub, cleaning, etc.

When you come you will be welcomed by the eco community group and will share in our community meals. We are building this community from the ground up and have already established and orchard, market garden, common indoor hang out area and kitchen, shop, and many outside amenties.

Our expectation is that those who feel drawn to be a part of creating this eco community is that they will be involved in the projects and social life going on, although may use personal time as desired. We have a stretch/ yoga, quigong or short mindfulness meditation every morning and then a quick check in circle and make a work plan for the day. You may join in with whatever project most suits or interests you. Work projects range from gardening in market garden, building a root cellar, building a greenhouse, building fences, feeding goats and chickens, gathering eggs & possibly milking (if interested), check on and help with bees, poss. honey extraction, mushroom harvesting, wildcrafting, haying with scythe, meal prep, cooking & clean up, general maintenance and helping to build earthbag and cob houses.

We use non-violent communication (NVC) as a way of maintaining good communication and relations as well as addressing any concerns in a safe and friendly way, and expect visitors to be self responsible (checking in with self and asking for what you need, lookiing after self in a healthy way, to ensure you are able to be your best self while here). We want everyone to enjoy their experience here!
