    Description

    [versión en español abajo]

My name is Natalia, I am 29 years old and I am a member of the indigenous community in Chiloé. Together with other members of my community and other communities, we work on various projects aimed at improving the quality of life of indigenous communities in our territory.

The center where you will contribute was established in 1998 in the rural area of Natri Bajo, district of Chonchi, on Chiloé island, south of Chile. Twice a week, we receive people from local communities seeking complementary care based on traditional indigenous medicine. In parallel, we run specific intercultural education programs.

The place has various facilities: the health center, the education center, the residence where you will stay, a greenhouse, vegetable garden and the wood. You will be able to connect with nature and local people.
On the weekends I ususally go back to the capital Castro in my family´s house. Therefore you can have the residence for yourself or visit all the wonders this island has to offer you !
