Description
Hi Community.
We have 3.5 acres of tropical farmland in the Coffs Harbour region (mid north coast NSW) and are looking for preferably a single (or the right couple) who would be interested in a short term energy exchange arrangement over the ‘winter’ months.
We have a charming off-grid cabin which is usually on rental that we could offer accommodation in exchange for some ground level (no heights) vegetation clearing and other odd-job work on the land. No own equipment, technical skills or qualifications required, however being comfortable with getting your hands very dirty is a minimum.
If you do have more technical skills (carpentry, landscaping etc), even better - we have plenty of ideas for improvements to the land.
We also have some very cute animals (chickens, sheep & goats) that love attention and may need feeding when we are away.
The cabin is completely off-grid but has all the amenities, including hot water (tank), diesel heater, ceiling fan, electricity (solar), double bed, bedding and towels, gas camp cooker, outdoor bbq, fire pit etc. There is no internet, however most mobile phone providers have reception coverage in the area.
Please reach out if this interests you.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
There is so much more to Coffs Harbour than the Big Banana. It’s a great place for a beach holiday – with glorious stretches of sand galore and a laid-back coastal vibe – and makes a fantastic base to explore the rainforests and waterfalls of the Waterfall Way or the incredible Solitary Islands Marine Park.
Our land allows you to enjoy all of this richness whilst having your own private space to disconnect and reconnect with nature. You're welcome to pick flowers, forage for fruit / herbs, collect fresh eggs from the chickens and light up a campfire.Projects involving children

Help
We are looking for some help with garden/overgrowth clearing and other odd-job work on the land. No equipment or qualifications required, however being comfortable with a chainsaw is probably needed as a minimum.

We have a charming off-grid cabin which is usually on BnB that we could offer accomodation in exchange. The cabin is located on 3.5acres of tropical farmland. Fruit and vegetables are growing in abundance - all free for you to nurture and harvest as you please.

To explore all the Coffs region has to offer, your own transport would be highly recommended. While we aren't very far from town and beaches, they aren't quite walking distance. There is some public transport but this is also limited. Uber and taxi's are available.
