Description
Our reserve is a beautiful place in Roldanillo Valle Colombia, a few years ago it was a farm dedicated to extensive livestock, now it is a natural sanctuary where a source of water that we have cared to sprout and protect endemic and endangered species . We do not have many resources of our own and not much help from the state, but we want to make the place a sanctuary of nature and an ecological school with thematic paths for visitors to learn about the importance of the protection and fragility of ecosystems and become infected with Love for the natural life. We have a house in bahareque that we would like to condition with alternative energy. At this moment we have as a project the elaboration of the thematic paths that also have an artistic-ecological component because it is intended to make structures, sculpture and paintings in recycling. It is a project that is just beginning since we have been preserving and in the process of studying and declaring a Nature Reserve in recent years. But we are very proud, we know that it is not something very profitable economically, on the contrary it does not invest in it, but it is a treasure that we donate to future generations. Our farm also has another attraction, at its end is the site - a track to practice paragliding. This helps us a lot because every year for the flying season they visit us and their small contributions help us with the insulation. Here you can picnic and camp from here we can see all the north of the Cauca Valley, and when the sun also shines the snowy valley in the distance.
Nuestra reserva es un hermoso lugar en Roldanillo Valle Colombia, hace unos años era una finca dedicada a la ganadería extensiva, ahora es un santuario natural donde un nacimiento de agua que hemos cuidado a vuelto a brotar y protegemos especies endémicas y en peligro. No tenemos muchos recursos propios y tampoco mucha ayuda del estado, pero queremos hacer del lugar un santuario de la naturaleza y una escuela ecológica con senderos temáticos para que los visitantes aprendan sobre la importancia de la protección y la fragilidad de los ecosistemas y se contagien de amor por la vida natural. Tenemos una casa en bahareque que quisiéramos acondicionar con energía alternativa. En este momento tenemos como proyecto la elaboración de los senderos temáticos que ademas tienen un componente artístico-ecológico por que se pretende hacer estructuras,escultura y pinturas en reciclaje. Es un proyecto que apenas inicia puesto que hemos estado en los últimos años preservando y en el proceso de estudio y declaratoria de Reserva Natural. Pero nos sentimos muy orgullosos, sabemos que no es algo muy rentable económicamente, por el contrario no hace invertir en el, pero si es un tesoro que donamos a las generaciones futuras.
Nuestra finca ademas tiene otro atractivo, en su extremo esta una pista para practicar el parapentismo. esto nos ayuda mucho por que cada año para la temporada de vuelo nos visitan y sus pequeños aportes nos ayudan con los aislamientos. Acá se puede hacer picnic y acampar ademas desde aquí podemos ver todo el norte del valle del Cauca, y cuando el sol brilla también el valle de los nevados a lo lejos.

We have a rooming house in bahareque with several rooms and beds, with internal water bath services and we use a small solar power plant for light at night, kitchen with eco-efficient stove. Our visitors can cook freely. there is also the possibility of camping in the yard is very pleasant

There are other farms nearby where they can interact, where there are also volunteers, the path is 40 minutes from Roldanillo, the Dovio and the Union. Hay cerca otras fincas donde pueden interactuar, donde también hay voluntarios, la vereda esta a 40 minutos de Roldanillo, el Dovio y la Union .hay probabilidad de transporte en la mañana y el domingo o se puede caminar 30 minutos hasta la vía donde pasan los carros cada 20 minutos. Allí esta el museo, y hay mucha actividad económica y cultural. en temporada de turismo enero y febrero hay posibilidad de transporte a diario.
La reserva maneja como aliado un taller de artesania para ayudar a recolectar recursos y dar enseñanza gratuita a niños y adultos sobre artesania en reciclaje.
