LOOKING FOR HOUSE SITTERS MARCH 27TH TO APRIL 4TH
    ==================

    Dear Workawayers,

Welcome to Our Joyously Child-Filled Home in Klingenthal! Join us – Antoine, Caroline, Basile (5), and Jean (1) – in an adventure where playdough creations and early mornings define our new kind of cool.

    What's Life Like Here?
Our home is a hub of child-centric activities and laughter. We're on the lookout for helpers who are enthusiastic about gardening, housekeeping, and child-minding. We prefer longer stays, as they foster deeper connections and a more meaningful experience.

    Our Hosting Style:
As your local adventure guides, we provide insights for exploring the vibrant Klingenthal area and beyond. Our family time is precious, which limits our availability for spontaneous adventures, but we're always ready to offer suggestions and support for your explorations.

    What We Offer:
You'll have a personal living space with a newly remodeled bathroom, washing machine, private bedroom, kitchen, bathroom,
A unique blend of family life and cultural immersion awaits you, with ample opportunity for independent exploration. We value the mix of communal and personal experiences, ensuring a comfortable balance during your stay.

    Transportation Insights:
While bus service to Obernai or Strasbourg is available, it's infrequent. For those with a valid driving license, a car is at your disposal, perfect for exploring the beautiful Alsace region or enjoying local hiking and trail running.

    Our Expectations:
We view our Workaway experience as akin to having close neighbors. Interaction and shared moments are common, but both parties enjoy their independence and autonomy. In exchange for a comfortable, quality living space, we ask for about 15 hours a week of help, roughly 2 hours per day. Our needs are minimal as we don't own a farm and our work requests are modest.

    Important Update:
We have recently adjusted our hosting arrangements. While we used to provide meals, we will now be offering only occasional shared meals or snacks (goûters). This change allows us more flexibility and aligns with the reduced work hours expected.

Join us in Klingenthal for an experience that artfully balances family fun with your personal adventures. Revel in early mornings, play, and your own cozy space in a setting that's as charming as it is enriching.

    Warm regards,
The Adventure Squad (Antoine, Caroline, Basile, and Jean)

Help We Need From Our Workawayers: Embracing Initiative and Creativity

As a family, we deeply value and encourage personal initiative and creativity in all tasks. We believe that every individual brings unique skills and ideas, and we're excited to see how you can contribute in your own special way. Here’s a rundown of the areas where we’d love your assistance:

    Woodworking & Heating:

Wood Logs: Your help will be needed in stacking, organizing, and cutting wood logs for our wood-burning heater.
Wood-Burning Heater Maintenance: Our home is cozily heated by a wood-burning heater, which requires lighting a fire in the morning and again in the evening.

    DIY Projects:

Bring your creativity to the fore in various DIY tasks like painting walls, sanding, polishing, and painting old or damaged furniture.
Vegetable Beds: We’re also looking to construct vegetable beds, so any experience or interest in this would be fantastic!

    Vegetable Garden:

We're planning to design a vegetable garden suited to our family's needs. If you have a green thumb or design skills, we'd love your input and assistance in making this a reality.

    Animal Care:

Meet Roxane, our 3-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog, a gentle and loving soul. While we enjoy our daily walks with her, there might be times when we’d appreciate your help in taking care of her.

    Kitchen Assistance:

Healthy, local eating is a cornerstone of our lifestyle. If you have a knack for cooking, especially vegetarian dishes, your help in the kitchen would be greatly appreciated. Let’s share recipes and create delicious meals together!

    Babysitting:

With two young children, an extra set of eyes, ears, and hands is always a blessing. Your involvement in babysitting would provide valuable support to our family’s dynamic.

We're excited to have you bring your own flair to these tasks, and we can’t wait to see how your presence enriches our home and family life.
