    Description

My name is Félix, I just got a plot of land to possibly become self sufficient in a few years. I am trying to grow as much food as possible, and create structures for a comfortable independant way of life. The land is still very bushy and needs a lot of work. I would like to create eco-friendly structures around the property for wildlife; a pond, birdhouses, set up a beehive, and more. I am also trying to build a stone house, a food storage, and make better trails to get around.

I am always working on cleaning up the land as it has been vacant for over 150 years so there is a lot of dead branches and trees around which I would like to turn into either lumber or compost.

I always have different projects on the go as well!

    Hello travellers!

I am looking for adventurers to help me get started preping a land for self sufficiency in Nova Scotia, Canada. I have a variety of projects I want to start working on, therefore most travellers are welcomed as everyone has something different to offer!

The land has many apple trees and I would love to get into grafting. I also want to build low cost structures to store produce, collect water, make trails, clear bushy areas, make wildlife structures such as a pond, bird houses, etc.

Let me know what you could do! I still do not have structures to sleep appart from an old trailer where I sleep so you would either be camping or sleeping on a air mattress in the kitchen.

I am looking for individuals who are not afraid of being a bit uncomfortable for the first bit of this project.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

I have an area in an RV where an air mattress can be put down. I will have that mattress along with bedding available. I also have two tents, one family size (fits 4-6) and one single size (fits 1-2). I will also be providing mattresses and bedding for the tents.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

The plot of land is in Sluice Point (Yarmouth), Nova Scotia, Canada. It is right next to a lot of beaches on the Atlantic Ocean and large wooden areas.

It is a very small town with a lot of history and antique stores. This is a great spot for rock hounders and tresor finders (you can visit areas and use my metal detector if you wish)!

Yarmouth is full of little coffee shops and sea food restaurents, I have no doubt there will be one specifically for your taste buds.

There is plenty of Light houses to visit, the most known would probably be at Cape Forchu where you can reach a wonderfull view once at the top.

Yarmouth is home to North America's first Starlight destination designated by the International Starlight Foundation. You can visit the Deep Sky Eye Observatory for an introduction to star gazing, constellations and night sky events.

There is a multitude of museums to visit highlighting local history. You can also visit the Living Acadian Culture village to immerse yourself into the Acadian way of life during the 1800s!

Lobster is a very big thing around these parts. If you are interested in meeting the fishermen and tasting sea food while discovering islands around the area, Tusket Island Tours offers the adventure for you!

You cand borrow Kayaks, Paddle boards, sports balls, raquets, and mich more for free at the community recreation center.

It has been so much fun being here for the last few months, come visit Yarmouth, I swear you won't be deceived!

Service is great. I have a generator to charge any device you have. You could work from the kitchen in the trailer for some privacy and quiet space.
