    Description

Welcome to Kadamba Community Project and thank you for exploring our impact project. I'm Ray Juma the founder of our community project based near the shores of Lake Victoria. Our focus is on financially supporting students through primary and secondary education and providing essential support for the children who are orphans and also the needy students in our community. We strive to create a nurturing environment where children can flourish, feel protected, and have the opportunity to progress to secondary education and beyond. We also aim to provide a genuine cultural exchange, where you can learn the local Luo language, music, and agriculture

We welcome volunteers who are genuinely passionate about making a difference and contributing their skills and expertise to empower the community. By volunteering with us, you will have a unique opportunity to combine adventurous travel with meaningful work for a worthwhile cause. We are looking for committed volunteers with diverse skills, from teaching and organic farm work to technical support such as web design, project management, photography, and videography. Digital nomads with social media experience and fundraising skills are also valued as we aim to launch a new support scheme to cover the basic needs of food and school accessories.

Please note that our project is not a vacation destination or a place to simply play with the children. We expect volunteers to actively engage in tasks that contribute to the sustainable development of the school and the community.
Accommodation and daily life will immerse you in the authentic Kenyan lifestyle. There are plenty of opportunities to explore the stunning scenery of Lake Victoria which is just a few metres away from our community and the surrounding areas during your free time.

If you are genuinely interested in making a positive impact and contributing your skills to our mission, we would be thrilled to have you as part of team as we join hands together to eradicate poverty in our community.
Please feel free to contact Ray via Workaway to discuss opportunities and to learn more about how your skills can make a real difference.

Thank you for considering our project, and we hope to welcome all dedicated volunteers who are committed in creating a brighter future for the children and the community of Kadamba.

We are currently seeking volunteers who are interested in participating in various activities at our farm and participating in our project in general. These activities may include assisting with our permaculture/organic farm, helping with the workload at the farm and home, participating in community service projects and related initiatives within our community, as well as sharing their life experiences with individuals in the community.

Volunteers who participate in these activities will have an opportunity to engage with our community and contribute to our efforts to promote sustainability and community development. In addition, they will have the opportunity to learn valuable skills and gain experience in a variety of areas related to farming, community service, and sustainable development.

If you are interested in volunteering with us, we encourage you to reach out to us to learn more about the opportunities available and how you can get involved. We look forward to hearing from you and working together to make a positive impact in our community.
