    Description

Our village project is more like a charity work, we based our work here because we want to give something back to our community. We like to meet people from different parts of the world and learn about their culture, listen to their stories and share our own stories. We always try our best make workawayers feel home at our place.

If you have long vacation and want to experience purely rural Nepali village life, stay there long, meditate or help our kids learn some life skills that you know, you are most welcome to stay there. You can stay there as much as you want. To reach there, you will need to take a flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar , cross Arun river on ferry and take a van or jeep. It is about 3 hrs drive from Tumlingtar airport.

Our project location, Dingla, lies in the lap of the Arun valley in eastern Nepal. The Arun valley has a quite significant historical value, including the fact that Sir Edmund Hillary, the first person to successfully climbed Mt. Everest, explored this very path (the valley) to the mountain. Also there is the great saint Sadananda, a pioneer in many ways, such as the teaching of Sanskrit and the abolition of social evils like slavery and Satipratha (immolation of widows on their deceased husbands’ funeral pyre). There is Yogmaya, too, a woman revolutionary who, along with 67 followers, sacrificed themselves (Jalsamadhi) in defiance of the tradition of patriarchal dominance. Dingla is a diverse multilingual, multicultural, and multi-religious community where visitors can observe a variety of festivals and cultural activities.
